http://abcnews.go.com/Blotter/WallStreet/Story?id= 6285739&page=1 The CEOs of the Big 3 flew in their private jets to Washington to beg for a bailout. Can you imagine wasting $20,000 on a trip to your local welfare agency to plead your case for help? This is why I don't see welfare abuse as the biggest problem facing our government when it comes to waste....

It seems as though China's bid for total control of Tibet has jumped into the realm of legislating on spiritual matters. My jaw dropped reading this. Makes all of our problems seem petty in some ways. Imagine if the government tried to legislate on matters of such spiritual importance to us..like giving a litmus test in the event of the second coming. I mean really. My hopes are for a truly ...

I was raised outside of Detroit and My father and two brothers both work ...

An interesting article, with some very strong language: >>one of the beliefs of the conservative mindset is that well being -- in this case, financial well being -- is a sign of moral virtue. The lack of well-being -- again, financial well-being -- must then be a sign of moral failing. The better off are better off because they are better people. Those who have less would be better off if they...
