Chris63,
My better half grew up with poodles. We got a standard about 2 years ago. Very intelligent dogs. They don't shed. All around a nice family dog. Can be very sensitive though, when you reprimand them. I have a buddy who bought a standard out of a kennel in SoDak. This was a line of hunting poodles. His is still more of a house dog than a hunting dog. I will have an opportunity to hunt ...

Check to see if you can see any twig or weed stem stuck up in the nose. If the dog is still

Next thing they know the cat is always sneezing. They thought it was allergies, and took it to the vet and tested for a bunch ...

Some work should be done prior to putting your dog in a real hunting sittuation..His first flushes should be in a controlled environment on pen raised birds. This is so you can controll as much as possible...Have him flush the bird in light cover then shoot the bird where he can see it fall so he can associate the gun to the presents of a dead bird..there are no
shortcuts to owning a good bird ...

outside but its
what going on in the inside you cant see. There are many
possible reasons and im sure you can guess without me mentioning them. I
would bring your dog to the vet and see what the reason might be. If there
is something terminally ill with your dog maybe they might be able to giv
some type of meds to help ...

With the right training, most dogs can be excellent. Also, non purebreds
are considered a bit more intelligent than purebreds. You might have the
best
of both worlds with that mix.
