Well this month I decided to try an experiment really. I thought that I would try and bypass the fight with the sabotage fairy and just go this month not weighing. I'll be interested to see the result. I've also been doing a semi-VLCD just using the packs I have. Really I've been using it in a slimfast type way. But it just means that this month I will be going to my official weigh in totally blind! Eek. But that's better....

Well I bit the bullet and stepped on the scales this morning. With some relief I saw there was a small weight loss despite the one month gap and the extended business trip With luck I should hit the 231lb milestone by the end of the year

Now that all the chocs are gone it should be easier. I was good all day then in the evening I dipped into the biscuit tin, not just a biscuit but a handful. Good luck on your journey

I am going to be 100% as of Sunday. I will stick to my program best as possible which to be honest is usually 70 - 80% everyday.
IF, I do this for 2 weeks I'm very positive that I will be done and dusted and can start my 3week maintanence.
I will do this!
Can't start until after Friday night being 100% as it's hubby's b'day and we have just moved to a new state, so looking forward to ...

Sunday Nov 29 16/8 - Goal 9/10 (96 to go)
I have lots of busy work to do today, things outstanding, but I am actually going to focus on cleaning my kitchen ensuring I have the right supplies for the week and going swimming. I have not been swimming for ages.
It’s not all in my head, people do sneer and look on disapprovingly at the swimming pool. It doesn't help that my swimming costume ...

Hi d_e13,
You're not the only struggler, Your emotional outlet is probably not eating whereas mine would be to eat.
I've found posting a diary on here to be really helpful, because you can share how you're feeling and writing down what you're eating really makes you take note.
Everyone is very friendly. Wish you lots of luck and continue posting.

I have finally decided to do something after months if not years of vacillation and excuses.
I was a rugby player and pretty big to start with although all muscle and bone . Since an injury forced retirement I have ballooned from my fighting weight of 230 lbs to 292 lbs and have set myself a target of getting down to 209 lbs.
After talking to my doctor she agreed a vlcd diet would be ...

Hi Liam
You remind me of myself, setting goals and then struggling.
Spoke with my gp on friday who was great. She encouraged me to set very small but achievable goals.
On reading your first entry i thought about this and that perhaps you should only make one change a week or even over two weeks.
This next week I am trying to work on not eating a snack whilst cooking dinner or not buying ...
