what a day it's been. To cut a long story short i got a call today telling me my dad died last week. I'm going back home next week to attend the funeral and i'm terrified i'm going to end up breaking my diet that day. I know i have more important things to worry about but i cant help but fret over it, it's been hard work getting this far and i don't want to go off track. I'm an emotional comfort eater which...

I'll be breaking for Christmas in 2 weeks time. I know that lots of you staying on LT over Christmas and good for you well done, but I know down inside that I just could not do that and besides I will be going to WW in the new year as although I still need to lose weight til goal, the majority has gone now and I want my body and skin to catch up a bit. If WW does not do the job then I will be back on LT. As regards to pressies and things...

Hi all, just had my weigh in and have lost 3lbs, taking my total weight loss to 33lbs. Am well chuffed!!
Am really starting to miss food in the evenings, especially at dinnertime! Only two weeks to go til I go on my refeed, then I can enjoy Christmas! Won`t be going too mad though, and have decided I will deal with the chocolate problem by having just one really nice box, just for me, and ...

It can be harder the second time around but I think it depends where your head is! If you are determined, then it can be done, theres no actual physical reason why it should be any harder. Personally, I plan on re feeding the week before, eating over Christmas (but not going berserk!) and then getting back to it aftrewards. I think ALL diets are harder the second time around but ...

Cookeh - I am so sorry for your loss and that you are having such a tough time. When my dad died two years ago, a friend wrote in a card that "nothing will ever be the same again, but that is as it should be". Once I really thought about it I found it very comforting.
The funeral is going to be very difficult for you (especially under the circumstances) but you've proved how tough you are and...

Hey, as long as you are happy with what you are doing then don't worry about anyone else's opinion. They will see the new you in a couple of months and then the compliments will fly. Hubby supports you so that is all that matters right now. Stick with it, you will win out.

My pharmacist spoke his LT rep and told them my menu plan for the week, which includes all different soups and wholegrain bread and they told him that was fine. I think its because I haven't lost a great deal, so he's not making me stick to the normal refeed sheet. I'm guessing the more you lose, the more rigid the refeed is? Anyway, i'm still being weighed in weekly, so i'm sure he'll pull me ...

Hi Zanya
First day is so rough but like you said day 3 and you'l be fine. Best thing to do is keep busy and before you know it day one will be behind you and you'l feel so good about yourself. I'm on day 12 and on my first day i didn't think i'd make it either. Just take each day at a time. It shouldn't be as bad tomorrow.
Best of Luck

How about trying the chocolate or vanilla as a mousse? They taste like cake mix to me and as they are quite claggy (?) they fill me up. It's worth a go - lots of people don't like the shakes at first but your taste buds will change if you stick at it. You should also try the flapjacks. I know lots of people hate them but I don't mind them at all.
Don't mean to nag either, but remember you're ...
