Even with a liberal President we still are not going to get everything we want. If you have a way to oust all Republican's, and blue dogs, out of office, by all means do it. Obama has to get what he can get. If the current healthcare bill expands coverage to millions more people then it is a good thing. If it lowers costs, it is a good thing. I do not care if this is done through the private insurance companies or not. I want results....

It would be bad enough if you only had to get Ben Nelson, Evan Bayh, Mary Landrieu, and Blanche Lincoln on board, but anyone who has to kiss Joe Lieberman's derriere deserves a congressional medal of honor. Are you suggesting Obama is a liberal?
They used to say a guy like Obama will never get elected.

The political foreign policy winds are blowing in the wrong direction for Mr. O and he is fully aware of it. McCrystal is going to be very disapointed when the Prez announces troop reductions.
Troop moral is sinking too. The justification for staying is over.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to take a poll--good grief, all you have to do is research the recent polls taken by CBS, Wa-Po, and others on this topic. That is, unless, they are doing this by avereages. 72% on one, 68% on another, 57% on yet another. Perhaps they are looking to get to 89%, or 92%. But what do I know?

If you are in one of those several dozen districts that house a Democratic representative that voted for the anti abortion amendment and against health care last Saturday (Kucinich excluded) please write your congressperson to let them know how happy you are.

You announce to the U.S. population that all citizens can apply for Medicare. This is how it was done with seniors in 1965.
You then put on a federal payroll tax to cover the expense.
You let the private insurance companies worry about their own survival (or not). If they can still attract enough customers to remain in business, fine.
The whole thing is accomplished in just ...

Dennis votes with his heart and not his head. President Obama can not just snap his fingers and make Single Payer happen. This bill is a start but it will take years.
If the insurance companies truly offer people coverage that they can afford with the help of government subsidies, why not try it? I like the TRIGGER option. If the insurance companies do not come through, we will put them...

It is time that the left stop demanding Obama fix every world problem in his first year as president. We are looking like a bunch of spoiled children. Do you really think he can do all of this CHANGE so soon? Do you have any idea what hurdles he has to get over with this bought of Congress, right wing radio, and Fox News?

Understandably, Mr. O has a full-plate in dealing with Healthercare Reform, Afganistan, and jobs. But what I want to know is, if a company is laying off workers, and the company is doing well, then what do you do to stop them from laying off people? Its almost like companies are fliping the finger at the administration for trying to get people off unemployment line. Something doesn't compute ...

Last week, when asked about Glenn Beck calling President Obama "racist," Rupert Murdoch, chairman of Fox News Channel's parent company (News Corp) said "if you actually assess what he was talking about, |Beck| was right."[1]
On Tuesday, after his endorsement of Beck's race-baiting started to draw attention, Murdoch claimed, through a spokesperson, that he didn't mean he agrees with Beck...
