Hi, I stop the WDS services before I restart the server, then I tried to delete the pxebootfile folder, but access denied for bootmgfw.efi file. I renamed the folder and restart the server. Then the WDS and PXE is working fine after reboot as it manage to copy the files to the temp folder. Anyway I couldn't reset the permission as access denied to bootmgfw.efi file. Is there anyway to reset the permission by forcing? Anyway the solution...

Also if it helps the exact error I see in the configmgr message viewer for the advertisement is The operating system reported error 2: The system cannot find the file specified. I basically need a way to say if it errors, make a new file and backup the machine to it. Sorry for my inexperience, I have not written error levels since DOS Days with IF ERROR LEVEL=

Yes, I first removed MDT Tools 2010 and installed it again, the last step was to re-do ConfigMgr integration. I figured it out when I was playing with the Task Sequence templates. The error I had occured at different places in the template wizard. Usually I don't use the templates, but it's really nice to add ADO to boot image and tasks like creating pakcakges. I have used SCCM since beta, and I'm really satisfied with the...

I have sorted this out, not a configuration manager issue in the end. The servers were all VM's running on an internal network. The SCCM site server without my knowledge had been moved to a different host so was on a different internal network. I have moved the site server back onto the correct host (and internal network) and advertisements are now working again. Thankyou all for your troubleshooting assistance. Marked As Answer...

It is looks like problem with my captured image, because when I have tried to add install.wim from media, everything is ok. I have captured this image with SCCM stand alone CD, now I am going to try to capture from MDT Sysprep and capture only tasksequence

Kent is exactly right. One thing I'd like to stress is that this has nothing to do with ConfigMgr though; PXE is an industry standard and it is PXE that requires DHCP not ConfigMgr. This of course makes sense because how else would a system without an OS know its IP address. ConfigMgr provides a work around for this, but ultimately it is not a shortcoming of ConfigMgr.

It certainly seems that there is a network connection issue with either ConfigMgr or your DP\\MP.
The error messages shown above are not critical that I can see. Is there any other log files that you can see?
Check X:\Windows\\Temp\\SMSTSlog.
Failing that, try removing the client's from ConfigMgr and re-import them as needed, then restart the WDS server. This will re-create their ...

Its definitly possible to deploy W7 with SCCM 2007 SP2 R2. It should even be easier, because W7 handles drivers much better then XP. Did you already check the SMSTS.log?

1. You assign a boot image to a TS, thats the boot image it will use. There is no option of assigning more than one boot image to a TS.
