Cross Reference not Updating
Published (2009-11-23 17:32:00)
Cross-references don't update automatically. You have to update them explicitly with Ctrl+A, F9 or by switching to Print Preview or printing. But if you insert a new numbered item before a cross-referenced one by pressing Enter at the beginning of the existing one, then you get the new one inside the bookmark for the old one, and that will mess up your cross-reference; see http://www.thedoctools.com/index.php...erence_trouble -- Suzanne...

In the edit hyperlink dialog, put the URI in both the Address and Text-to- display boxes. That way you can use a space or linebreak to wrap the display text to the next line without affecting the hyperlink ability. Hyphens will work too, but that might be misleading to readers who have to type the URI. In Word, cross-references are REF fields, which means you can do the
following: Press Alt+F9 to show field codes. Display the Find dialog box
(Ctrl+F). In the "Find what" box, type ^d. Use the Find Next button to move
between REF fields.

Are you really referring to themes? Note that themes were introduced in Word
2007, so you couldn't have created one in Word 2003.
In Word 2007, you cannot remove a theme, but you can reset to the theme from
the document template: Page Layout | Themes | Reset to Theme from Template.
