Not sure what you mean as the GPS location writes to the file for me and can be seen and picked up by applications like Lightroom that are capable of reading it!

Where Is the 'People'...
Published (2009-12-17 08:24:00)
EM allows to list 'People' for pictures. I spent tons of time to define for each image which people you can see in that image. However, when I now look at the metadata of these files I can't see that information. Locations, author, etc are there but not people. I tried this both in IrfanView and Adobe Lightroom 3 and also synchronized the data first. Is this data not writen to the file? If it is then how can I get it into Adobe...

And as always, catalog sets won't be part of syncing. However, you can always export to xml and process that to grab catalog set data. The big feature for me of a catalog set is the sequential order of its members (and likely by extension, this would be true for hierarchical keywords). To test export your data and import a few records. Then import a few more. You'll see that the new catalog can't know about the original order....

Keyword Lists
Published (2009-12-12 03:34:00)
Hi, I'm on a Mac osx 10.5.8. An odd thing to me.  I have a list of keywords in the catalog fields section on one of my catalogs.  I'm not sure where these came from, or how to get the same list into my other catalogs.  An employee could have downloaded this list from somewhere and imported it, so I don't know how to located it or how to duplicate it. I gotta admit I'm very new to keywording.  So, I also don't know...

I finaly got an answer from JP as I sent a post to him at the same time than this forum "We were not able to reproduce this so I bugged it for further investigation and just checked your bug and don't have anything new for you. " I can understand that you can't reproduce the problem. I don't understand that no action is taken to further investigate. (BTW I have all the software dev background to help, but...

Good luck with getting a straight answer to that first part of your question. I use LR2 but still prefere to use EM2 for the dam part of my work, so cannot really help you with that but can tell you that except for some raw files LR picks up all the info applied in EMS as long as you have used the sync annotations feature in EM2/IVeiw.

I'm no legal consultant, but I've understood, some time ago, that EM is licensed to the user, so (s)he can install it on as many computers as _(s)he_ uses. I have it installed on my WHS, on my laptop and another desktop. I am the only one using it effectively on those machines, even though sometimes I have 2 copies of it running at the same time (WHS and laptop, e.g.). Best. ...

I also have this. I did mention it once but haven't solved problem. (OS X) Work around: If starting a new catalog I just drag in an entry that is part of a catalog set from another catalog to "seed" the catalog sets. Thereafter I just add subterms to the seed. Peter

Sorry Till but it is there in the English version, I cannot say why its not there in your German version. I'd say wait for a reply from one of the offical MS Moderators on this forum but they seem to be very thin on the ground just lately ( another foreboding sign pehaps of the end of EM).
