Show/ Hide file & Folder
Published (2009-12-15 13:48:00)
Using Explorer (My Computer for example), set up the window exactly the way you want it; i.e., with the files/folders hidden. Click on Tools>Folder Options>View tab to check the box to not display those files/folders. Click the button that says "Apply to all folders" before you Apply/OK out. You'll get a prompt saying that the settings will be applied to all folders that open in the future.

Unfortuately, no. I'm using this tool on both Vista and Windows 7 without any issues. You may try his support forum. Also, there is an send to x powertoy that was part of the original powertoys from Microsoft. You can grab a copy of that here (w95powertoy) if you want to take a look at it.

For just information about offline files and user profiles, you should start here: "User Data and Settings Management" http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb490855.aspx Thanks but I've just searched through the entire page and there is no mention of how offline files behave (the cache seems to be wiped) when a sync fails due to a slow connection to the F&P.

The Recycle Bin will be in the root of your 2nd drive. Most likely your D drive. The filename is Recycler and you'll need to have hidden files shown to see it. To show hidden files and folders 1. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options. 2. Click the View tab. 3. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

I get the same problem even when I try a small test file (Word). I notice the problem only occurs when I have a DVD+R in my drive and not a CD-R in the drive. (My optical drive is a LG GSA-H55N). It used to work with DVD+R disks, but not anymore. Windows XP is supposed to have the drivers to manage this. I also have Nero (a basic version) and I wonder if this is an attempt to get us to ...

For 7 years I have been creating Powerpoint presentations then going to File/Send To/Microsoft Word and using the Notes with blank lines options. If the ppt is 605 KB the Word document ends up pretty small. But for some reason today - it is making my 605 KB file turn into a 8,200 KB Word document. It is massive and slow. My big problem is I take the Word file and merge with others to make a ...

I have Windows XP Pro SP3, after i shutdown my computer one day and restarted it back up, the look in "MY COMPUTER" changed, they were in groups before like "Shared Folders", " Hard Disk Drives" and "Devices with Removable Storage".
