Hello Xannasavin, Thank you for your reply. You may check with the vendor for the the AC'97 Audio Codecs for install instructions or a Read me file for setup. Also, you may check with the motherboard or system manufacturer for additional download options for your audio device driver as they may also provide a download location for the audio device driver. Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
Click on Start-> type in services.msc-> Browse for “Windows Audio” and double click on it. You will now get the window for Windows Audio Properties-> Under the General tab-> Check for the Start up Type->Set it as “Automatic”. Repeat the same for “Windows Audio End Point Builder” service....

What kind of audio chip do you have? The AC97 (most common) comes with a nice utility to do all this. It's only 10-band but hey ... The utility (called Sound Effect Manager) is installed into the control panel by default. Failing that, try Control Panel>Sound then select your speakers and click Properties>Enhancements One of those options is an EQ of sorts with some presets down below.
