Hi, Can you access Safe Mode? Repeatedly tap F8 as you boot? If so you can try Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - Double Click on - Driver tab - click UPDATE driver - then Right Click on Device and UNINSTALL - REBOOT. Another method to try to access the desktop (try in both regular Windows and Safe Mode) is to CTRL + ALT + DEL and on Process Tab find EXPLORER.exe and END PROCESS on it - then on Applications Tab - lower right...

Yes I did...It is like when I did security updates on Windows, that the function stopped working. And when it stopped working it stopped working in all emails. Yahoo...Hotmail and Windows Mail. Hi, Your keyboard input language setting is incorrect. Go to the Control Panel/Regional and Language Options/Keyboard and Languages, and click on "change keyboard" to fix it.

It worked up until a few weeks ago, so it must be Vista Home Premium.  Either way, if it's Home Premium or not, it worked at one time, now it's not.  I've set it up several times to photos slide show and all I get is a black page saying "an error has occurred that's keeping photo slide show from running."  Thanks.

We don't know if you have the exact issue because the original poster never cam back and clarified her situation. At this late date, it is doubtful s/he will be back. It sounds like you accidentally pressed the key that toggles your display to an external monitor. Usually you need to press FN and one of the keys with a picture of a monitor although sometimes there is a different key toggle for presentation mode. Refer to your laptop...
