Australia could open the batting with Casson and Hauritz they fulfill the LuvGoat criteria - both play for NZSW and moved from another state

Congratulations to the 19 year old Barath for his maiden test century. Well done to the QLD crowd for the standing ovation for his efforts. I hope they have booked a couple of days FISHING with Roy. They are throwing away thier wickets now.

They were lucky for a while that they simply produced a decent supply of outstanding individuals. Lately they've had a few good ones, but not the 15-20 they did in the 80s. When you get a set up like the Windies, they need the planets to allign perfectly, otherwise things fall apart quickly.

it's what p!sses me off about a lot of people, Pete Sampras was one, he was never beaten by a better player according to him.. Alex Ferguson can be like that too, I hate it with a passion words can not describe..

Australia will play the same XI in Adelaide. North to bowl spin if required (big if). Watson is nowhere near his 'last chance'.
Sarwan and Taylor are both subject to fitness tests.

A T20 exhibition is pretty much the same thing as a Test match....no?
I think after the Oval debacle, Australia will play at least one spinner for a pretty long time, unless it's an absolute greentop

Yeah, I heard it was Haddin on the grassy knoll too nev.
Absolute ripper of a catch to finish the match by the way.

With Watson now back bowling, the whole balance of the team has changed.
Marcus North will be picked for Brisbane, and Hughes wont play.
Watson
Katich
Ponting
Clarke
Hussey M
North
Haddin
MJ
Lee
Siddle
Hilfenhorse
Unless Lee does something extraordinary at the Gabba, he would be replaced with Hauritz for the remaining tests

It is not Scott Walters first game, and he comes from South Brisbane ( which is closer to Melbourne than Cairns)

Looking at the stats, should Watson fail, then the next candidate in line should be Chris Rogers.
Lets face it, he played one test and got an absolute LBW shocking decision from Rauf after having stood in the field chasing leather as Tait get pasted from pillar to post

National holidays for every Monday that a test is being played, so people can actually go....
But in the end, I don't think that there is much tweaking neccesary, maybe a couple of things:
1. Test should be better promoted, by individuals with thegame in mind. Right now, there is another cracking test going on in India in front of only a handful of people. This is because tickets are ...

All I know is he seems extremely relieved when Ponting comes back into the team.
Maybe CA need to start looking at other potential candidates for a "sucession plan"?
