Thinkin' they got lucky Murph. Costello saw it coming and jumped, Oz was in a pretty good position to ride the storm (if'n it didn't drag on) but it has cost and big time ... the ECT could well work out very nicely for the rich, not saying don't do anything but don't wanna be too hasty to sign up. If Governments and individuals took responsibility for their own reduction in consumption of energy...

saw a doco on chile during the 70,s talk about an over reaction to the left.people usually adopt the politics of their parents and to demonise either side only creates fear and extremism-some people r just too serious

richmond 1st round draft flops
Published (2009-11-24 09:54:00)
well it wont be an easy draft for some...the young talent on offer this time isnt of the same calibre as last year...so temptation will be there to draft existing delisted players...id say most clubs will use their first two on youngsters, then grab a player with a bit of experience...its just certain clubs have a poor reputation when grabbing players who leave other clubs.

vics dominate draft,SA again behind
Published (2009-11-26 21:48:00)
how many Vic kids nominated for the draft compared with kids from WA & SA? Better to look at what percentage of kids were drafted from each state out of those who nominated to determine which state dominated. If you want to look at who actually dominates the draft, look no further then the Geelong Falcons - since their introduction to the TAC cup they have been the #1 team for kids drafted. Not only the leading club in Aus for draft...

Tough competition this yr, hard to fault any of the nominees for what they have achieved over their careers, any one of them would be a worthy winner.

Paddy and Murphy are working on a building site. Paddy says to Murphy "I'm gonna have the day off, I'm gonna pretend I'm mad!" He climbs up the rafters, hangs upside down and shouts "I'M A LIGHTBULB! I'M A LIGHTBULB!" Murphy watches in amazement! The Foreman shouts "Paddy you're mad, go home" So he leaves the site. Murphy starts packing his kit up to leave ...

The fact is, the club cant afford Ball, in fact, when S Burgoyne went to the Hawks, I was already dissatisfied with Rohde and his comments. Port operations in the past few years have been weak, recruitment rather soft, and if anything, the more Rohde speaks, the more disheartened I am, and im sure others are. Yes, get some youth, but gee, for the future?? what about those players we drafted that...
