We just need to combat the insurrection, and return to Constitutional government.? It may come down to a handful of officials being impeached, or arrested and tried for treason (I'm thinking that the decision to try terrorists in civilian court may rise to just this level if we can't get a handle on it and fix it), but for the most part we can vote the bums out, but this time be careful to not vote new bums in.? We need to elect...

I once had a little old lady come to my gate on Christmas day.? I wished her Merry Christmas and she said, as serious as a heart attack, "You mean they make you work on Christmas Day?".? I asked her how she would get to her destination if we didn't work.? She looked at me for a second and then said, "I never thought about it that way". LOL. Lots of people have to work Christmas day.? You know it when you take certain...

nothing pisses me off more than navigating to a gorgeous, flashy, high-tech website that doesn't have the information I want (and takes forever to load, even on a high-speed connection).? This is a common myth. My CPA dispelled it in 15 seconds by explaining that you only pay tax at the corporate level, and then on the dividends if you declare a dividend. Windy that is exactly what I said.? That money is taxed at the corporate level, and then taxed on the dividends or other compensation, such as bonuses.? As you just wrote, that is twice.? Technically once is on the corp and the second is on the individual, but it is still...

While serving in the military a simple phone call was enough for them and us, just to make sure they?were alive. Nowadays,?people in the military expect?their families and others to send them care packages. WHAT A JOKE. What on earth do you have against families sending care packages to soldiers?? My brother received them on a regular basis from both my mom and I.? That was 30 years ago.? I sent them to my daughter in Iraq every few weeks.? I...

But as someone who grew up with those things in the past and someone who lived through 9/11, I can say that 9/11 has a much deeper meaning to me.? That is how it'll be for our grandchildren.? Yes, they'll know of it.? Yes, they'll see the monuments, and yes, they'll remember, but they won't feel it.? That's how we feel about 11/11 so it's time to update the holiday

they’ve told me that ANY data -- even one kilobyte -- is billed as 1MB. This is only partially true. They sum up all the data for the entire month & then round up to the nearest MB & charge based on that. They don't charge for every access individually. I check my bank account many times during the month from my phone & never go above 1 MB from that alone, so my fee is always 1.99. I ...

My suggestion would be to put the money into a one-year CD at your bank then spend that year educating yourself on personal finance and investing. There are several threads here that list a lot of good books to read. Whether you end up investing yourself or wind up hiring someone to help you, you still need to know some basics about money and investing. Oh, and you might want to put ...

Technically you have until April 15, to open an IRA, tradition, Roth or otherwise, for tax year 2009. I know you have other posts here, but what other investments and retirement options are you using and what are you invested in? Retirement date funds may or may not be suitable. The other day MTL, suggested that these sorts of funds are good choices for many middle class investors.

We went to our credit union and asked to buy three cd' each for 5000.00 each for five years with a locked in rate so we won't be able to touch the money so we can send our kid to college or buy her a new car. no problems but the bank took the time to tell us other investments possibilies even about their 529 plan. It's up to you how to invest. Try going to different banks and see what ...

I think they're going to be hurting. Hopefully those in debt are paying attention now and those like me who can afford it, don't plan to go crazy with all the hype. I no longer buy things just because they're a good deal. There are great deals everywhere and it makes me stop to consider whether it's really necessary. It usually isn't. I plan my purchases much more carefully now.

What is causing all this stress? Normally, I would be inclined to say that panic attacks mean a certain type of personality, in most cases. Not all personalities are suited for all types of jobs. With your kind of job... one has to like it in order to be good at it. My humble opinion. Kids pick up on these things intuitively.

I would really like to buy one miche purse,a purse that you can change the outside of,so I wouldn't have to keep more than one purse. I found out the price of one was well over 300 ouch, and to pour salt on the wound the covers were 20 dollars a piece. I couldn't see myself spending that much on a purse plus I would probably lose the outside covers so it would be a moot point, but I still want ...

# 6. Death taxes hurt African-American business owners. Many Americans save in their businesses in order to pass an asset along to their children, and many of these businesses are owned by African-Americans and other minorities. The threat of seeing their life savings absorbed in a single tax bill is reason enough to demand permanent repeal. # 7. Death taxes hurt women business ...

Happy scooter... My advise for taking in foster children is an excellent idea, especially for a stay at home mom. You're right about the abuse of children, but what you don't realize is these kids need an adult to take care of them. Many children cannot find proper placement in families homes, so they get abused and swept under the rug. Many of these children are put up in motels and ...

I got a very similar letter. I guess I didn't care as much as you seem to. I've had the card for years, never pay any interest on it, and have over the years got around $600 cash back. As long as the interest rate doesn't get too insane I'll keep the card as long as they is no annual fee.

Sounds like you need to sit down at the table and rewrite the agreement. He has already violated his portion of it, and it was fairly quickly after the marriage began, so I'm assuming it was fairly quickly after it was signed. I would get in contact with the lawyer that reviewed or drafted the agreement and renegotiate.

There are two factors when the mother of a young baby has to make that kind of decision: 1) The financial side - can you afford to stay home until the little one is a bit older? If you do take time off from your career, how much will it hurt your chances when you do decide to re-enter the workforce. The other factor you have to weigh is the cost of childcare. For infants, childcare can be ...
