I'd like to think so too, but it isn't. At least not in such a convenient, easy to access way. If one doesn't care for the ads, ignore them. There is no requirement to buy anything to get your questions answered.

Does anyone know who maintains this site? I'm not challenging its value; just wondering who these editorial experts are who are vetting these thousands of references. Noticing that it's using the Mercedes-Benz logo on its home page and as its icon, is it in some way linked to MBUSA or Mercede-Benz Cars/Daimler AG? The disclaimer says no, but they still seem to be permitted to use the logo (or at least their use is being tolerated),...

OK, Gary, let's start out slow. Click the "Quote" button at the bottom of this message. That way you can read what I write and see what I mean. OK, you should now be in a "Reply To Thread" window. The typing area should be grey, and just above the grey typing area are several icons that help you format the text: Bold, Italic, Underline... See those? I hope so. OK, move over to the right a little more...

Gene, I think a 220/221 forum makes more sense. I live so far under the rock, I forgot there was a w221. You seem like you a need a little of the happy holiday spirit! Don't be a humbug about this whole forum issue. We aren't in crisis mode.

It's nice to know that we all still trying to make forums that "the moderators" agree on. I'll repeat it again. If we reduce the number of highest level Forums, how do we communicate the method of getting to where any new MBCA Member or new Forum Member might have interest. And further background about Marshall Booth and Scott Saenger would provide current members with what they have devoted to the MBCA and...

I think MBUSA just extended the Rewards program to '10 AMGs so I am sure your ML will be included.

Re: YOUR OPINION: Too Many Forums?
By my quick count there are nearly SEVENTY forums, many of which are lightly-trafficked (indicating lack of interest). Surely they can become sub-forums within broader categories.

Your best investment would be to have the particular car carefully inspected in a "Pre Purchase Inspection" carried out by a knowledgeable Mercedes shop, whether it be a dealer or independent. Find out if it's a cream puff or not.
In general, a car with the fewest number of previous owners and a well documented service history will fare better than one that has been sold over and over at ...

I have had this grill for decades and it makes a nice garage ornament. It is all metal and I have asked exactly what it goes to on other forums and the closest answer I received was it is likely for a 220E.
That does not specifically tell me the model as in 110 111 etc.
I would like to know if it is valuable so any idea on its worth would be appreciated even though I am not selling it ...

It would work well in the new E-class also, interesting if Mercedes wants to keep the E-class so premium they would not offer it with a 4-cylinder engine.

Any opinions on Schumacher driving a Mercedes engined F1 car?
Also anyone think that rallying and MotoGP are pulling away dollars and viewers from Formula 1 ?
So what happened Mercedes has shifted from McLaren to Brawn as a major holder of the organization?
