Rafa played an atrocious first set, winning a big total of ZERO points in his second serve, got much better in the second one but wasn't enough to derail a Kolya who lowered his level of play after the huge beatdown in the first Descansa Rafa, que te necesitamos enterito para la Davis

I think the best solution for "Masters" tournament was used only once and it was Masters '85:
First Round:
Ivan Lendl d. Tomas Smid 6-1 6-0
Tim Mayotte d. Yannick Noah 6- 4 6-4
Andres Gomez d. Henri Leconte 7-6(1) 6-1
Johan Kriek d. Stefan Edberg 6-2 4-6 6-2
Boris Becker d. Paul Annacone 3-6 6-3 6-2
Mats Wilander d. Scott Davis 6-3 6-4
Anders Jarryd d. Joakim Nystrom ...

I don't think Gael retrieving will make Janko happy, but when Gael gets offensive it will be even worse for Tipsy.

In my opinion this record is one of the most important in tennis, and I believe Federer having it would be a huge addition to those records he already owns.
1. Pete Sampras 286
2. Ivan Lendl 270
3. Jimmy Connors 268
4. Roger Federer 258
So as of last Monday, Federer needs 28 more weeks at #1 to equal the record and 29 weeks to break.
Interested in opinions on the ...

Well Federer had chances to be two sets to love up at the US open final, but credit to Del Potro to fight it out and win the set (and match in general).
Federer's slice was terrific today and if he does more of the same against Del Potro, Del Potro will have lots of trouble dealing with it. Now a days, you never know with Fed what game will be bring to the table. I think Fed should win this ...

Djokovic is rank #3... seems like a good chance for Nadal to cause a heavy loss of points to his nearest rival... or will he think about Davis Cup...?

He is still injured so he is out. The knee.
I think he might be in doubt for the AO too unless there is updated news.

Re: In what ways is Murray better than Federer?
Backhand, only that. He makes less unforced errors too, but then, he is less agressive than Fed.

London WTF RR: Murray def Del Potro 6-3 3-6 6-2
First set should've been 6-0, but failed to close it out on first 6 occasions. Del Potro started playing alot better in the second set. Third set was all Murray.

Soderling played well
Nadal has not been able to regain his consistency. He made a lot more errors than he usually does, but of course it's not easy dealing with Soderling's shots.

Absolute demolition job in the first, competitive second set after Davy choked two breaks away. Played a great tiebreak and got it in the end though.
Rafa = out.

A highly entertaining, tight match, except for Kolya's meltdown at 5-5. Kudos to both.
