+1. maybe you can fill me in a little - how much of the stock EMS does it replace? it does fuel and timing as a start, right...? what else?

You can put Seafoam in the oil too, you just need to change the oil like 3 time immediatley after.

The CAN spec EGR can be ordered through Murray's, and advance auto. I don't think autozone can get it though. If I remember right Advance had it for less then the US spec one.

Open source is the only way to go. I hate paying more than needed or working around someone (or some company's) proprietary hardware or software. Plus its way cool to make stuff from scratch.

why dont you just turn your boost down for winter? you answerd your self when you said I can run this all day in summer but winter shows up and man hitting walls all day. I know maybe you dont want to but in my mind its like winter shows up the air is denser an a lot more gets in then normal. Its almost the same as upgradeing your turbo 9.68 in a gt25 is not the same as a gt28 or gt30 you have to turn it down.

Do you have the HKS bov on your car now? Or do you just have it for later? The CS is good if you have that kind of money to spend on one I guess.. I offer FMIC kits on my website, I'm doing a sale right now too ($50 off) on them. Another thing you can do is look in the FS section, there is a MAM FMIC in there as well.

Dude I run 12-14lbs of boost all year and last I checked here in Chicago it gets colder than that. The ssafc and fcd both manipulate the maf signal. You only need one or the other. Obviously for those not relatively stockan ssafc is a better choice because of tuneability. For those close to stock running an fcd is fine from my experience winters here around 10-20 running about 8-10 on a stock wastegate my afr's were well in the tens...

So i talked to the tow truck company and they are saying that there is no way they did the damage and they wont be covering it, so that means i have to take them to court to get them to pay for a new exhaust, cause after what i just bought im broke as hell and there is no way im paying for something that i did break. What I did for my wideband is just go to the local muffler shop and have them weld in a new bung between the upstream and downstream sensors for the wideband sensor. You want that sensor to be somewhat close to where the exhaust tubes come together.

I dont think you would need that, you have a turbo and related parts. I think if you would do the standard upgrades you will be better off.

New clutch? Hi everyone, I'm builting the motor this winter, FMIC, Megasquirt etc... I'm shooting for 300HP ~350lb /tq as I will have pretty much the same setup of 2 guys on clubprotegequebec. One of them is using a custom made clutch. My MSP will be a daily driving still and choosing what clutch to use is kinda important....

If you don't have someone to weld for you, or need the tools, you can get a cheap welder at harbor freight to do the job and the argon gas tank and welding rod are available at welding supply stores. You will also need a cut off saw to cut the pipes to the length.

Ok, so in my search for the best EMS solution, I am now considering going back to the stock ECU and injectors, and maybe just running a Walbro 255. I would only do this for the winter, and until I can find a reasonably priced EMS that works all the time on the MSP. Keep in mind, I will keeping on my FMIC, 3" exhaust, etc.. How well do you think the car will run, both in and out of boost...
