QUOTE(sammysam516 @ Nov 29 2009, 06:40 AM) Sorry I don't know when the torque converter engages. Can you tell me ? Ask people what is their rpm when cruising at 80 mph. 2.3 is exactly 3k rpm.

Burning smell from millenia?
Published (2009-11-29 00:37:00)
QUOTE(Xedosman @ Oct 27 2009, 04:00 PM) If you have a stuck caliper the entire wheel gets hot after a drive. I can't imagine an engine compartment issue causing that smell but front wheelhouses are close neighbors. Xedosman I think your right. Me an my mom noticed the smell from the left front wheel today. Time to take it off an do some inspection. Hope the caliper is ok and the brake lines.

QUOTE(Millenia-Falcon @ Nov 27 2009, 01:06 AM) I kinda consider car-part.com a millenia used parts place. I mean, just look at the home page. There's a 2000 millenia right there on the left! Yeah, I was looking through there yesterday for a bit. Great site.

First I wouldn't worry about the P1601 for now. With a dead battery all kinds of com codes can pop up. Secondly whoever did that load test is an idiot. Let me guess?...... They left the battery connected to the car terminals while doing the load test? Did they just put that clamp on one of your leads? To make it short... don't bother what those retards are saying about under/over ...

QUOTE(PdPuNOme @ Dec 1 2009, 04:23 PM) pm me if you have any interior parts forsale out of either 2001 or 2002 milly's. The hardest parts...I'd part mine out to do a total conversion to tan and I'd bet I'd make money in the process....

They certainly are! I use one. I was actually thinking of building one into my intakes. It would have been a very small enclosed filter type. I decided not to because I had a target price for the intake and the additional material and time would have put the price far outside most people's budget. Forced or N/A oil catch cans are well worth it. It keeps your intake track free and clean....

I am not sure about the fin (though I never have been even on cars where they are supposed to be). But the other parts look nice! You have a similar car to me (is your interior grey or tan?). I should have sent you my right headlight for your retrofit - the front part is cracked as it is and you wouldn't be taking apart a good, hard to find, headlamp assembly I'd appreciate close-ups...

I went in and got the Mother Mag and read ...

Good news! If there is one near you sure why not pick one up. You will probably need some length of ~3/4" ID tubing to reroute the vac line when it comes off the Tee a bit. Don't cut anything just replace that short section (~2") where it comes off the Tee and clamps to your intake fitting. Take pictures! Everyone loves pictures. I'm surprised your engine didn't run funky with the ...

Here are the finished pictures and some small notes on installation. In time I will put together a clear concise start to finish document on the install. It is pretty self explanatory but I understand some made need some pointers here and there. I tossed all my factory intake plastic pieces so these pics are more of a ?post removal of factory component? install. If you can remove all the ...

QUOTE(Mechanic_Chick @ Nov 27 2009, 11:55 AM) I've got a 1996 with a Millie engine (2.3 "S"). My car started misfiring. It popped on the CEL (p0303). Here is the problem: The spark plug, coil pack, and injector were all replaced. I compression tested the cylinder and it's fine. I checked the ECM and harnesses and they're fine, and I even swapped the ECM for another one I had that ...

I would start by checking the solenoid by the trunk latch. Make sure you are getting power there and then work your way back. Welcome to the forum!

Buy a pump meant to fill up trannies, the typ with a hose up front an a lever to push/pull behind. It works both for sucking out and pumping in. Just refill the reservoir with regular ATF, Dexron II, III or VI.
