OK..... Fix the sticky choke and get that working properly. Even though a defective Co2 sensor may not cause the truck to burn that much fuel it may be causing the computer to go into a limp mode and burn excessive fuel, but a 1/4 tank in 20 minutes of idling is ridiculous. Is this idling period while it's warming up while the choke is stuck shut ? I would think the coolant sensor is on the rad. The one on the intake manifold is for the...

So I've still been doing my to and from work stint every day, and I'm still getting terrible fuel economy. Only done 100KM and at a half tank already... Absolute cold start up is lumpy again too...choke sticking again? Anything else to check? We've established my choke DOES fully open, so the spring is OK. O2 sensor wouldn't make this drastic of a difference besides this poor economy came on only in this cold weather......

Jaguar, Once again thank you for your insight. In terms of the quick gear shifting, I agree. I only done it 2 or 3 times in the space of 100 yards while experimenting. I'll have a look around for that master clutch cylinder also to see if there is scope for adjustment (will ask mechanic to do adjustment). The only thing I ever remember seeing touching off the clutch pedal was a black plastic rod around an inch or two long that moves in...

I recently encountered the same symptoms on my '92 B2600i. I noticed that at times the motor acted as if it were missing or running on bad gasoline. It would only last a matter of seconds then clear up. One day I parked my vehicle and returned to find that the engine wouldn't start at all. First I checked to see if the rocker arms were moving when I tried to start the engine, was fine there. Then I pulled a spark plug wire and did a...

So I've yet to ditch the cheap and god awful Autozone brake pads, however, I've mad a lot of progress with straightening out the body lines and sanding down the original paint. Just the other day I really scored and managed to find a full set of 4 Nissan Titan 2004 17IN steel rims for just $50.00 cash plus picking them up near where I live. I've looked on the Mazda B2200 Interchange Rims list provided on...

steering wheel shaking
Published (2009-12-14 19:03:00)
I am hoping someone can help me out with my shaking in the steering wheel? I replaced a broken stabilizer bar bolt and eversince I am getting a shaking in the steering wheel. I removed the bolt and the shaking has stopped. Also driving down the freeway I will turn the steering wheel to the right and left and it feels like my front end is loose. Like I am drifting or sliding. Could the bolt issue be related to this one or totally different?...

Just guessing here. Try checking the connection on the oxygen sensor. If you follow the wire around there is a green connector that can get oxidization there especially if you like to shampoo your engine off a lot in the summer. I tiny bit of water can get in there. The sensor only runs on a few volts and it doesn't take much to up-set the reading back to the computer. On my B2200 what I ...

So long as the engine and computer are newer than the original, the swap should be legal. You will need to use any smog components from the donor too.

You get in touch with them by going to www.avproecm.com. Before you send it it to get it rebuilt, make sure you inspect the controller board inside the case. There are at least 2 large capacitors that say Rubicon on them. Look for signs of corrosion near or underneath them. If you find any discoloration, bubbles, or flakey stuff, you have sound the problem. What happens in the ...

QUOTE(Aussie Mazda @ Nov 28 2009, 07:30 AM) I have a 93 Mazda B2660i which the engine is intermittently cutting out completly . At the same time as the engine cuts the tacho flicks and if the cut is long enough (ie 1 sec) the tacho will get to zero. Anyone got any ideas. I fitted a computer from a friend B2600i and the problem went away. Looks like I need a new computer....
