where to install GPS antenna?

Thanks Mecca, good info. I completely agree that actually putting the GPS antenna in direct sky view WILL yield better results. But I guess the question is...how much better? If it's only marginal, then why go through the hassle of running the wire or having the eyesore of it being exposed. To each their own

That's a good point about the PAC OEM being useful for whatever comes next. The harness they include looks like it may be the 70-7550, without the RCA jacks, but I don't know for sure. Even with them "hiding" the costs by including "discounted/free" stuff, the prices are pretty competitive compared to Amazon, ebay and shopping.google.com Quote: Originally Posted by djfrestyl From my experience JVC...

Well theres 2 dash kits out there!!! 1. is just the trim ring or bezel (thats what I have) ebay $17 (I like it for $17 the color is close enough, $130 back in my pocket!) 2. is the center ac vents connected to the trim ring thats one BIG unit (GXE kit $150) I think thats what they call it. (they run about $50-75 used on the org) Now, for $25, what option do you think you have?? As far as the PAC goes, I have 2 setting here, again cant use...

I have some high quality equipment for sale. You may be interested in the Rainbow speakers. I'll be honest, $500 is a VERY VERY tight budget for what you're trying to achieve. Personally my advice would be to spend the money up front and do it right the first time. If you stick to $500, you'll likely be unhappy with your setup and want to upgrade sooner. Happens to all of us. FS: My ...

The pop when you first power the system up is caused because the factory amp is expecting a 7volt remote signal and its getting a 12volt signal. It is common in alot of factory amp setups using an aftermarket receiver. To stop the pop you can either drop the voltage with a resistor or voltage regulator to about 7v, it doesn't have to be exact. As far as powering multiple pieces of ...
