We used to have a guy part time that worked for the Sheriff's department full time. He went through the reserve academy etc. As I have stated I have no problem with people who work for the Sheriff's department. This guy no longer works for us because he ended up moving south and now works in a city in TN. The people that I and others here have a problem with are the 1% who pay their way and basically give a big slap in the face to...

Tom foley has my vote.it would be great to finally see a sheriff who has previous law enforcement experience, other than just another "professional politician".the co's that go to work at the jail ,day in & day out are a great bunch of men & ladies.they could use a leader who can lead by "proper example".

are "Regional police forces" that much different than mutual aid ? if our Bac.machine breaks down or if we need assistance..we already call neighboring communities...stay in your jurisdiction, share resources and help only if requested...i'd rather see more regional policing and joint purchasing of desired equipment by municipal pd's or MSP, than have politically hired hacks involving ...

News reports are that they were going to revoke Steven Tyler's reserve deputy badge for being inactive. They then realized that every other deputy has been inactive and decided against it in fear of an MCAD suit for age discrimination. (Is this good enough? Or do I have to post the link and give an opinion under the fair use doctrine?)

I would like to know of any posters' experience that can point to any positive reforms made in Suffolk County by Sheriff Andrea Cabral. Is there less patronage than before she was elected? Is it a better place to work with less politics? I know there are a lot of positions opening up from retirements etc.I know Suffolk is under DOC now,so is entry test/academy going to be done by ...

My guess is that she works at South Bay, they have a lot of "freedom" in terms of their dress code. The jail it's different, while outside of the building we're contractually only allowed our Class A or B's. Long sleeve shirt with a tie, or our short sleeve dress shirt without a tie. No BDU's, or polo shirts. Somehow they are able to get away with looking like they rolled out of bed and that in ...

Anyone who has lived in central Mass and reads the newspaper would know that Glodis is a fat buffoon! He has always been considered shady. Anyone who has also lived in Worcester county knows that the people as a whole are not very smart (hence the reason Glodis got in). One of the reasons I live in Middlesex County again.
