www.jujutsu.co.nz would i be right in thinking that this style of jujutsu classes would be similar to
mma training? what the gym says about the jujutsu club. "Like its offspring Judo, Jiujitsu employs throwing techniques, but it also includes the striking, punching and kicking of Karate and boxing, grabbing and locking joints. Jiu Jitsu also employs dislocating, strangling, choking, ...

Hi there, Sounds as if you might like the sort of training we do at our
Jiu Jitsu club in the fusion leisure centre, Elephant and Castle. Ours is a holistic style which teaches a range of techniques, including punching, kicking, throwing, weapons defences, joint locking, and groundwork. We tend to learn techniques without too much resistance then introduce and build up resistance/...

Greetings all. I have taken up Kickboxing & JuJitsu in the last month & really enjoy both. I have had the odd injury such as sore hips from high kicks and a sore back/side from being thrown. I am sure (or I hope) that these will happen less as my body gets used to it and as I become more flexible. However, I find that
when I fall from a leg sweep (me attacking from an orthodox stance)...

jj is not a monolithic entity, even moreso than other style families.
jujutsu/jujitsu/jiujitsu can be anything . it can be koryu. it can be renegade judo - harder, or softer. it can be renegade aikido - harder, or softer. it can be a mix of judo, aikido, karate, weapons work... you never know. pretty much everything under the sun has been labeled "jujutsu" at some point, by some weirdo ...

Hi guys I need a bit of help in choosing what club to go to and study Jujitsu at, after doing loads of research I have finally come to the decision that I want to train in Jujitsu, but here is where I have a slight dilemma. I have 3 clubs and I am not too sure which one to take up. As they all seem a bit different to me and I have very limited knowledge on this topic therefor I thought the ...

It's official. There are ten scientific principles that apply to the study of all martial arts: 1. The wimp who made it through the eliminations on luck alone will suddenly turn into Bruce Lee when you're up against him. 2. The referee will always be looking the other way when you score. 3. You will have trouble with the ties on your gi pants when members of
the opposite sex are in ...

Good Afternoon/Evening/Morning All I recently decided to take the plunge and learn a Martial Art as it is something I have always wanted to do. I did Tai-
Jitsu for around 15 months about 10 years ago and got to orange belt and enjoyed it. I also did a bit of Muay Thai a while back but it isn't for me as I don't want to compete, simply keep fit and learn a MA. I have just started ...
