Hi Bruce, If I am reading your response right then I agree with you 100%. Hapkido can mean many different things to many different people. It is also so hard for your average Joe to distinguish between what would seem to be authentic Hapkido and what may be a hybrid or bastardised version. More to the point, most people who are studying one of these variations probably believe it to be authentic Hapkido as when you trust someone like your...

If I am not incorrect, Myong Jae Nam's own style of Hankido is a hybrid of Aikido and the Hapkido of Ji Han Jae. Is this so?

I think Sinmoo HKD (for sure) or Traditional Ji Han Jae lineage is authentic HKD (if kept true to his system).
