I had the same thought ... I could see it, or a variation of it, being used against a side club, but not really liking it too much against a knife.

I was watching the latest UFC with Randy and Brock. Randy is 6'1, 225lbs. Brock is 6'2, 265lbs. For those not familiar with Brock, here is some info from Sherdog. Its obvious that he's a huge man and has some skill. I try to be aware of my surroundings when I'm out, so there are times, when I'll glance around the area, and my eyes catch someone who is bigger than I am. For the sake of ...

Whether it be in business, martial arts, relationships and many other “life spaces”; timing plays an important role in the proficiency content of that particular “life space.” Down through ...

Showed this little move to some of the guys at the dojo last night. They were all really impressed. We worked SD drills last night and I supprised the black belt by using this one instead of one of my regulars and he was like "holy crap! who taught you that". So I explained it and we worked it together with one of the green belts. B

Hello, everyone. I'm new to the MartialTalk.com forums, and this is my first post. I hope this is the appropriate place for my question. My question is for any practitioners who may have trained in Kenpo/Kempo between in the 40s and/or 50s. I'm most interested in what may have taken place in Hawai'i during that time, but I'm curious to read responses from anyone who may have trained then....

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I have a similar question. Is the tiger dragon kenpo ring specific to american kenpo? I train in shaolin kempo and I am interested in this ring. Anyone else wear this ring. Would it be wrong to wear it associated with shaolin kempo and not american kenpo. Hope someone can answer my questions. Thanks Chris

I recently started a web site, and have a section on the books of James Mitose in which I am displaying the books he wrote. I am looking for a picture of the 1981 cover. I also have a section on the mgazine articles that were published. Any obscure cover from the 1960's , 1970's which featured his school, or James Mitose himself would also be of interest along with any rare photos of James ...
