Interestingly, Jon Stewart displays a nuanced view of global warming here. In an interview with Al Gore. He does it again with Steve Levitt, one of the co-authors of Super Freakonomics here. This is almost precisely my view, except I have become more skeptical of the science as of late. I like cheap solutions and I understand the degree to which we will need to change (not just separating plastic from cardboard, as Stewart says).

In the aftermath, global temperatures dropped by as much as 16 degrees centigrade (28 degrees Fahrenheit) and life on Earth plunged deeper into an ice...

probably should have mentioned some recent events which raise the stakes dramatically, such as recent cap/trade legislation here and abroad, and the seemingly flat temperatures since 1998/2000.

Thanks David and Patrick.
I'm in and looking forward to it.
Fantasy leagues always test my loyalties. I listed myself as an Arsenal fan but picked no Arsenal players.
The one player I didn't pick that really hurt (as a fan) was Essien from Chelsea. He strikes me as one of those players whose full value cannot be reflected in a fantasy league. (He strikes me as the one player - who, if a...

I don't know, Bob. If I heard the sentence "Peyton Manning is a Colts" then I would cringe! But in general, I hear you.

Boyle would never be picked up through the system... I heard here sing recently for the first time and... wow!
Lambert... not that he's not talented. But clearly, this is the standard type of star that is sold to us.
I think it is interesting that the show has given us both... even more interested in the fact ...
