Out of curiosity, just how low was your ASVAB? And why do you want to become a Marine, whether it's enlisted or officer?

Waiver question

Realistically, there is no 'answer' to this one. The answer could come as soon as tomorrow, or as late as March. It's all up to the whims of Headquarters, Marine Corps I'm afraid. Patience, in this case, is a virtue.

Phone calls are no longer enough. Recruiters have so many kids that come in
every day now that you have to be in their face if you want to join the
Corps. Go in and talk to them. If you're smart and you were willing to work
off the extra pounds, there's no reason they shouldn't want to see about an
age waiver for you. You just have to make eye contact with them so they
know you're worth it.

You want to be active duty correct?.....so sign an active duty contract then.
In order to go active from a reserve unit you have to get a conditional release from your unit, then basically go re- enlist at your recruiters office. I have been through the whole process and it is a pain in the butt.
I guess I really don't understand what the problem is really, if you want to be active duty ...

The minimum age for enlistment in the United States Military is 17 (with parental consent) and 18 (without parental consent).
Finish high school and get your diploma. Do not quit and get a GED.
And when using the words Marine or Marine Corps, they will be capitalized at all times.

I wanted to go Intel myself because of the job factors afterwards, but unfortunately it wasn't available when I enlisted. So I went Communications.
Good luck to you.

I must be cursed or something. I have done so many internet searches and talked to so many Marines and no one can help me.
Can someone at least tell me who, besides my recruiter and his immediate boss that I can talk to to get some answers?
