Will nivea soft cream break me out?
Published (2010-02-03 18:00:00)
At quick glance this definitely contains comedogenic ingredients. Definite issues: Myristyl Alcohol, Myristyl Myristate, Lanolin Alcohol Possible issues: Dimethicone, Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil (Jojoba), Tocopheryl Acetate Also I would avoid any product that contains Alcohol Denat, its a drying and irritating ingredient. I would suggest giving Cerave a try. I'm also dry but acne prone and this works for me.

Olive oil for flaky areas??
Published (2010-02-07 12:57:00)
If it works, let us know . Alternately, you could also try Shea Butter to prevent flakiness rather than cure it. I've been wondering about removing makeup with oil instead of my cleanser. It sounds more delicate on the eye area. I may have to give it a try .

Olive oil for flaky areas??

Of course you can, oils can be used as moisturizers and also to clean your face (we call it oil cleansing method ). The only thing you have to make sure is it's pure virgin olive oil, first cold pressure. You only need a little, a few drops are enough. To remove the eye makeup, use a cotton pad and apply an equal amount of warm water and oil.

Skincare Secret: Green Tea Bags

This works for me too, thanks White tea is even healthier to drink but as far as I know it has less caffenine so the results might be worse as a mask.

cool baths? i don't know. bandaging the skin might ease some of the discomfort but i wouldn't do anything your doc hasn't advised.

Olive oil for flaky areas??

There are a lot of oil options really and as long as they are pure light oils, most are usable on skin. I prefer almond oil because it is so very light.

BEST eye cream?
Published (2010-02-01 20:43:00)
Make sure to put sunscreen on your eyelids and under your eyes during the day! (Sun damage is a huge cause of ageing). It just dawned on me that these parts get sun too! Just make sure to use a sunscreen that doesn't irritate like Vanicream. Everything irritates my eyes, but vanicream sunscreen doesn't. Also wait a moment to let the sunscreen sink in before applying eye primers. I use Clinique's "all about...

My Skin Is So Dry!!
Published (2010-02-03 09:53:00)
Hmmm... If there's salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide in your cleanser and toner and you're exfoliating you could be drying your skin out. So I'd say eliminate one of them for a week until you find the culprit.

I know it's gotten some bad rap for being harsh or whatever but my skin is loving the 3 Step System (in #2) and so it got me thinking. What are other views/opinions of Clinique skincare? What would you say is their best and their worst products? Thanks for piquing my curiosity guys!!

The only thing I have tried of MB's is the Strawberry scrub. It smelt amazing!! I love that they give out samples really easily, even if you are an international company. They seem like they have really great customer service!

There is probably a thread about this already, but I'm a newbie to the site and I had a hard time finding it, but I was wondering what your skin care regime was for you ladies with oily/very oily, acne prone skin. I use Purpose Gentle Cleanser. I tone with witch hazel and moisture with aveno oil-free lotion. I use masks.. for the moment I've been using a homemade strawberry/yogurt/EVOO/honey ...

Hi there!
I have oily skin with some spots on the cheeks, jawline, chin and forehead; however, lately the skin area around the mouth and above the brows is quite flaky... a friend of mine suggested to tap those flaky areas with a cotton pad with some olive oil drops.
I use often olive oil to remove my eye makeup, but I'm not sure about using it as a mousturizer...
Is that something...

Eye cream seems to be one of the most important to fight aging.
Do you want to share what eye cream you currently use? Please comment whether or not you like/love it and reason.

What is a good clarifying cleanser? Up until recently (when I really started getting into makeup and skincare) I thought all cleansers were basically the same..
Can you use them everyday or is it like a hair clarifier where you can only use it once maybe twice a week?
I was looking at the Murad Clarifying Cleanser
Also, I'm looking into getting some African Black Soap.

So my face has been really dry this winter and yet is still really oily and acne prone. I want to use nivea soft cream (the white tub), but am wondering if it'll break me out?
I asked nivea if the cream is non-comedogenic but they basically told me that it's a body cream and hasn't been tested on faces and so they can't tell me if it is or not. Sounds like BS to me.
So I'm basically ...
