Hang in there hun. In a couple of days your toe will be better and life will be looking up. In the meantime maybe you could forward your calls to a landline so at least they could leave messages on your voicemail or something.

The distance thing can be dealt with if you are both committed to overcoming it. I know a number of couples who are "separated" by work. Usually it's the husband who gets orders to Washington, D.C. and the wife (and kids) stay here which is 4 hours away. The husband comes home for the weekends. Everyone changes over the years and if your relationship is strong, then you won't grow apart.
