oh man i feel so bad for all of you that don't have sephora. i LIVE there. but on the upside, you aren't as tempted to buy stuff as much as i am. i'm a VIB for a reason. i usually buy my stuff at a variety of places. i live in NYC and i'm surrounded by so many amazing stores. i live/work within a 10-minute walk to MACpro and MAC flatiron. i have a few buddies at the flatiron store that i always chat with. they're...

I completely agree about makeup being just another art medium. I'd thought about taking some color theory classes, but unfortunately they're not offered where I live, that will have to wait till later down the road when I can get out of my the mountains. I suppose for now it'll just have to be trial-and-error, which is okay too, educating yourself sometimes ends up with a larger since of accomplishment. Thanks for your help!

Ok so... I'm on a mission to find GOOD brushes. Obviously everyone wants good brushes... sooo I read that Marlena recommended Sonia Kashuk from Target which is very helpful because i have never used them before... Im looking for brushes that are MAC quality Has anyone ever tried the brushes from Ellebang.com? I just heard about them the other day and has anyone ever used them?? Or maybe has anyone tried Sigma brushes? Or Coastal scents?...

LASHES: DURA LASH SPECIFICALLY???
Published (2009-11-20 00:24:00)
Has anyone tried Ardell's dura lashes? I read on the back of the package that you can put the individuals on and they will last a couple of weeks. Is this true? I would love to wear my demi whispies everyday, but I just don't have the time to apply falsies every morning. I thought maybe doing this would sort of give me the effect I wanted if they would in fact stay on for a while. Any advice or guidance on these lashes, wearing them...

Hi Hattie, Since you are from Austria, you'll get a better deal by ordering from Zoeva in Germany: http://www.zoeva-shop.de/ (and this way you won't have to pay customs! which is expensive, I once paid 11€ for a 32$ CS order!!) These palettes ARE mass-manufactured in China and not the exclusive property of Coastal Scents so the ones you buy from Zoeva or on eBay are actually the same. Try eBay as well as you could find good deals,...

My recommendation for a quad would be: Woodwinked (gorgeous orange gold), all that glitters (peachy shampagne), sketch for the outer v (dark purple which goes fantastic with the other 2) and Vanilla for a highlight. If you don't like Woodwinked, you can get Bronze instead (more classical); Rice Paper would be more gold that All that glitters if you prefer that, and Mulch for the outer V (dark ...

We don't have any of those where I live anyway. I use a lot of different brands and I order most of it online since... well... there's simply not much to buy in stores around here. And I buy a lot of shadows from fyrinnae because if you shop for over $20 they give you free shipping worldwide. Living in europe that saves me a lot of shipping costs and I like that you can buy samples and still ...
