How long have you been using the M2? I wouldn't add a retinol treatment for a few months, sometimes irritation takes a few weeks to show up.

I've heard of people using a dandruff shampoo to wash and BP lotion to treat with great success.

that should work, also you can apply it before Renova to buffer it

It could be your toothpaste or lip products. Did you change any of those?

I use a lot of sulfur based products for spot/area treatment.

also.... I only clean with Olay gentle foaming or Albolene cleanser if I have any makeup on...which I try to avoid since all makeup seems to make this worse also. thanks.
