Published (2009-12-26 17:41:00)
To make a long story short, took my new G to get it washed today at a pretty reputable place. Took forever to get it done, guy brings it to me I give it a quick look over, looks fine. After getting it home, I noticed a small scratch on the front fender. Its lite and not very deep, however, black makes everything look worse. 07 G35 Sedan Wear and Tear Advice
Published (2009-12-19 15:17:00)
I have the same issues with my 07 G35. My steering wheel is actually much worse; the paint is completely worn away where my thumb rests. http://forums.g35club.org/zero...93939 # I complained to the dealership and they said there's nothing they could do to help. http://forums.g35club.org/zero...93939 # If you find a fix, please post it. Sometime I'm going to try stopping at an auto paint shop and see if they could do anything.

2008 G-35 needs first wax...

Meguiars and Mothers both makes a wide range of excellent products. I used Meguiars carnauba wax on my 2003 Acura CL Type S, until Meguiars quit making it. Then shifted to Mothers carnauba. I typically waxed about 6 times a year and used a clay bar twice a year to keep the finish feeling like glass. Hope this helps.

With all due reespect, it looks like your knob is peeling You can try to buff it a bit and see if it evens out a little. Your options include reemoval of the remaining "clear coat" protectant, new knob or deal with it. The steering wheel area is rubber so that is likely terminal too. As for the cup/cubby holder - the plastic may be salvaged by some light sanding (and possibly a repaint) ...
