What's the diff in installation size? No difference in CPU usage I'm assuming if you don't use Space Designer in the first place.

Stop project from loading

Hey LJ ! So you want to stop loading a project/song sorta like a wrong selection ? Simple enough yet no implementation of a good function since force quit is a little abrupt and not always called for. Interesting,i guess it would be a good safety strategy for apple to incorporate too if you had one badass project that was stuck auto loading.

Guys, just a big THANKYOU to everyone in trying to help me out with problem.. I have 100% successfully got it working now with ROCK solid timing and ULTRA fast response of midi on ANY track i choose. :>:> I cant believe it.. I have to give credit to "al808" in particular because his suggestion was the correct one, thanks. The trick (in older logic versions 5 and 6 only) is to, put an I/O Plugin on each Audio...

22b, great that you got your setup working! I just want to briefly comment on something you said regarding your using an MPC to sequence: As a former MPC user myself (I make Hip-Hop, R&B as well as house music) I know that many MPC based producers use them because of their supposed superior timing and "feel". Logic has always had pretty solid MIDI timing, but version 7 upwards has only gotten better, thus negating the...

Thanks for the clarification. I was hoping for something like the the audio comping added in 8.

Well sure. But if someone can't make varied and good music in Logic I'd say they're not trying hard enough! That being said, there comes a point where you just decide, as G has done, that you waaaaant that Sylenth1 synth (or whatever) because it does certain things well and easily. I just made the leap from L7 to L9 and I'm astounded by how much great stuff came with it. Loads of very usable instruments, hell even the sound...

Omnisphere and RMX work fine here with Logic 9.02 and SL, I don't have Trillian though.

Thanks for the reply Funky, I didn't have Trilogy just got Trillian. That seems to coincide with the onset of the whatever it is. It seems to be a Logic problem as all the Spec stuff opens in Numerology, which is where I got to the upgrade page of Trilian and saw it needed a couple of upgrades(they seem to need an upgrade every week or less) . Downloaded the upgrades and the problem stops!? So, at the least, there is some problem with...

go to your audio midi set up in OSX. you have to physically connect your synth to the midi interface. also, the mopho might have different modes of operation where it won't trigger form midi but only from the internal sequencer. check the manual.

Have you thought of using MainStage for this? It is much better suited to this application than Logic. Logic is simply not designed for to be used like this, MainStage, however, is! In a sense you have discovered the reason they produced MainStage in the first place.

some nice videos there James and reasonable pricing - though they are very short. I am a subscriber with macprovideo now - and watched their free 30 minute Logic 9 overview and decided to sign up. So, thank you for the adverts but I am very satisfied with the quality and depth training I got there: especially after I got a 50% off coupon code Karl

Thanks for your reply. I tried deleting both the preferences and the control surface preference. No change. The midi cable must be fine, because all the other controls work bidirectionally. The strange thing is that if I press flip I can alter levels with the rotaries and the faders follow! I just can't get the faders do do anything. Has anyone got an MCU running fine with Logic Pro 9.02, ...

I've been using Line 6 Rifftraker, Riffworks 2 Line 6 Edition, Riffworks T4, and Riffworks Standard for years now on multiple operating systems and I think they're great. They're no Pro-Tools obviously, thats a given.. but for beginners and novice guitar players new to recording and producing, its a great place to get started. Very easy and fun to use.
