Essential Plugs with Logic

macjiro wrote: Hellos. I did a search on this and couldn't find what i'm looking for. I've been out of the loop with audio for the last couple years. I jumped to Logic from PT and wish to find the most essential/bang4buck plug-ins that would complement Logic's set of plugs. I wish to get something that covers the most bases and will not cost an arm and leg. I'm considering Ozone and PSP so far. Any help would be...

Ok - I guess I have to learn to be patient... Anyway - sooo many thanks for the Uhbiks - they're already a serious part of my audioarsenal! Have a good time in Down Under - and remember to relax! Believe it or not, the idle mind is the most creative one - at least for the most of us....

It's one of my most used...it's ability to level with or without color makes it good for many things...light use for tracking turns out to really shine when putting more discerning compression in context later on, i.e. it really does help glue when used at several stages in different applications Definitely getting my money's worth here!

Essential Plugs with Logic
Published (2009-12-20 13:02:00)
Thanks a bunch for the additional info (Slovenec/Kent/Colnago). From what i have researched, i think i'm getting caught up now with the latest plug-ins 2009. Some things haven't changed in the last couple years. To add what has been already said, i am looking forward to a new version of Tritone plugs. I think they are also primo warmth plugs and great bang4buck. Would go nice with Logics plugs. Seems like alot of people love the...

Essential Plugs with Logic

My favorite EQ for color is TriTone HydraTone. Can't wait for them to native-ize it (ValveTone is working great). Control is not surgical in the least, but it sounds so nice, especially on high frequencies. Audio Damage Fluid is a nice, thick, old school chorus, much better than Logic's own. But I'm having some trouble with it in Logic 9.0.2 and OS X 10.6.2 freaking out Core Audio in the second half of a song (the dreaded pop,...

I know you must be extremely busy at the moment because of ACE & whatnot - but is there any kind of estimation of when we would get the Uhbik X? I personally can wait for the G a little bit longer, but I'd need the X-rack sooo bad... hey, hmmm... sorry, I don't know yet It's been a weird year with some...

I haven't really paid specific attention to any harmonic additions to the sound other than I really like what it does. Setting up some fairly smashy settings on a drum buss and turning the range down to about 10 to 15 does some magic. I don't have the Waves SSL, but I've tried the demo. I'm plenty happy with The Glue.

Hi macjiro! Welcome to Mac OSX Audio. And welcome to Logic, as well. I jumped over from PT a few years ago now and haven't looked back. It was a great decision for me. In terms of your question, you know, sorry to say it this way, but it really just totally depends on what kind of music you're making, how you hear sounds, what shortcomings you're finding in the stock Logic plugs, etc. For ...

I should add I also just picked up 'The Glue' though NOT for it's transparency, which it may well do but saw it's strength in well..glueing. I definitely hear it working, which I liked a lot, my torture test was tracking extreme glitch tracks with insane transients which it handled very nicely (nice badness that is). I will use it on select grouped tracks AND THEN pass through my other ...

Especially since they are there . How odd. The only thing I can think of is licensing. But the Scarlett description doesn't mention direct emulations. Maybe some of the underlying algo's come from something else. Who would rely on such a useless restriction in 2009, though?

Dear fellows, I opened this thread in order to tell all my personal "positive" Waves and Waves Universe story. At first I have to explain why I was interested in Waves generally. I was interested in deaper vocal trance tutorials and found the German version of the book: DJ Torsten Fassbender - The Trance Experience At first I was very sceptic. The book is great (I can say that now), but ...
