AVCHD formats through FCE4

Not with FCE, although you can likely edit the content. Toast 9 is suppose to have some Blue-Ray burning capability, as does Adobe Premier. You may be interested in the Bruce Nazarian article .

Forgive me for possibly a stupid question, but how do you set the video you've uploaded on youtube to have the option to play in high quality?

Looks cool, but they really need some new material in Hollywood. Remakes are OK, but it's getting pretty lame. Are they going to remake Jaws yet? Maybe Star Wars with contemporary CGI? Personally, I'd like to see remakes of movies that had promising plots, but were poorly executed. i.e. Impostor

I have a large collection of videos i need to batch convert their file types so itunes can read them. The videos vary in aspect ratios and quality. How can I change all these videos to let say '.mov' but keeping the same aspect ratios from each file? Thank you

I'm having some trouble with iMovie actually using the settings I want in my output files, but I was thinking about FCE for my Canon HG-10 (also ACVHD). It seems like it is one of the top choices for Mac + ACVHD according to online reviews. I've been using a newish macbook for my Imovie processing and it seems to do just fine. I'm interested in what people think of FCE as well.

I have created my first movie in imovie. I burned it using idvd. When I played it back with my dvd player on my tv, the format was too large. The sides of the image were cut off and everyone appeared fatter than normal. Where do I find the option to choose a format so I can show my dvd on a regular tv (4 by 3 format)or a wide screen (16 by 9 format) tv?

I have imported files into iMovie08 from my Sony handycam. I have then added titles. So far so good. Then I go to export. If I export to 'large screen', the quality is not bad, but I'm thinking it should be better if I export to AVI, so I set it to 'best quality' and hit save. I then import it into iDVD08 and burn to DVD. Imagine my disappointment when it turns out to be sub-standard and inferior...

Hello I am a very happy mac switcher and am just trying to decide whether to get FCE4 or FCS2. I will be shooting HDV and want to have the option to output uncompressed HDV short films back to tape. What I can't work out from all the info online, is if I'll be able to do this using FCE4. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks!

Hey guys, this is my first post, as most of the problems I come across have already been answered before, but this one I cant find anything. I burned a movie using toast, and when I put it in the DVD player the audio was about 15 seconds ahead of the video. Obviously rendering the disk useless. So I thought I'd use Isquint and click "Optimize for TV", and then try it. The file created by Isquint ...

Hi - I've been struggling for days trying to get the credit titles on an imovie project to stop flickering (I am using the scrolling block option). Titles appear fine until the DVD is burnt and then they are distorted (flickering/changing/dancing) when played back. Oddly I have found that if I switch off the deinterlace mode on dvd playback the titles appear fine (not a long term option though ...

I've been trying for the last couple days to import videos into both premiere pro cs3 and imovie, and nothing works. I tried avi, and that didn't work. I converted it into mp4, and now it'll play in quicktime with no audio at all, but still won't import into either program. Then I tried a totally different video file that is mp4 video and aac audio (both apple formats) and it STILL doesn't work. ...

I currently use visualhub to convert all my avi movies to dvd. The is fine for single files around 700mb, it turns out as a 3.8gb iso image which I burn to dvd. If you have a better and more efficient technique please let me know. The problem is that I want to burn 10 tv episodes to dvd and I dont want it to turn out 3.8gb. I want it to turn out higher for better quality and I will put it on...

Okay so I have numerous AVI files that I want to put onto DVDs and I cannot figure out a way to do it successfully! First I tried to straight up put them into iDVD and that seemed to work. I put a few on, and they worked fine. THEN, i burned them to a dvd and there was no sound. (correction--the sound cuts out at 1:44??) Next I tried to import them into iMovieHD, and it seemed to ...
