yes you missed something Start up the iMac with the OS X CD. Before you click on the install screen, you need to use Disk utility. Look at the menus at the top of the screen. You need to select Installer> Disk Utility. When that opens, give it a few moments for it to gather information about your hard drive. A hard drive icon will appear in the side bar at the left.now click on the erase tab, just to make sure that hard drive is...

If Apple says November, then I expect it to ship by the 30th. I ordered a Core i7 model, and would love it early but do not expect it till the end of the month.

The current gen mini will be fine. It's hard to compare it to your current PC since you failed to list the specs of your current pc. While my mini is a HTPC, it is also something I use for YouTube, web browsing, e-mail, and VLC.

Have you taken a look at Finder > Preferences > Sidebar?
Maybe you have dragged it out of the Sidebar, so you can drag it into the Sidebar again.

Both are IPS panels so basically quality should be the same If you want it to be sharper you would need more pixels but 21.5" already has resolution of 1920x1080 which is quite good

at first I should suggest you visit an Apple retailer.
I tried to fix things on my own too, but i managed to make it even worse..
Apple won't be able to help you further when you try yourself.
Anyway if you have the know-how, (which i didn't ) i suggest you check on websites that sell second hand Apples. I'll try if i can manage to find something for ya.

Stop trying to pick on the tiniest problem that you get, afterall, it's just the first release of Snow Leopard on new hardware. If you are complaining so much, just refund it and buy a HP with Windows 7. The nVidia 8600GT is what I call "problem", this...

Mine just started doing that last night. Nothing has changed, the only thing that did was I started using the new Magic Mouse. I tried switching back to the old mouse and the computer would not sleep. I'm using a iMac early 2009. This is really starting to make me mad, I might call up Apple care tomorrow if problem keeps up.

Well yes, it would be that simple. But that kinda applies to most new technologies. If we, as consumers, are willing to spend the cash on buying the hardware separately later, all the manufacturer really had to do is provide us software support for it and we have ourselves a solution
It's not something specific to Blu-ray, but it is annoying for those of us who have or are in the ...

Why? Okay, 27" is big but for 1500 it's what you should get. 24" with sharper resolution would make things too small and 1920x1200 is quite small for many tasks

MacRumors page is slow because of server overload due too many users, not because of your computer

First, who says you have to run it at full resolution? (not all games will support it anyway)
Second, doubtful you can do the replacement nor would want to risk it. Then again we must wait for someone to tear one down
