If you mean next update by rev B, you might have to wait till mid-2010. I would buy one now, if it has issues, take it back and get a replacement or your money back

If Apple says November, then I expect it to ship by the 30th. I ordered a Core i7 model, and would love it early but do not expect it till the end of the month.

So you're saying that all the people who have the mythical "quiet" segate 1TB are just not hearing well enough? .. Anyway, it may be normal for seagate, but I doubt it's normal for apple standards. We pay a premium for that extra quality, for that silent system, etc..

The same way I always plugged the small holes in the shower at camp, rub a bar of soap over it ^.^ But seriously, you can put a sticky-note or piece of electrical tape over it. Fold one part of the tape onto itself so it doesn't get stuck

i just got my 27" today and it was running fine at first. Then about an hour in, the fan came on. I shut down, restarted, downloaded istat. everything looked normal, but the fan will not shut off unless the computer is off. It's really annoying and I have a headache from it now. New iMac's can handle 16Gb of RAM. OS X can handle OOOOODLES more than that, and so can applications. More RAM never hurt anyone.
