"We got them just where we want them" "we'll whip Obama's you know what" McCain's plan for the home stretch. Apparently this has been his setup plan all along... will this turn out just like the last election?

The question is simple, if you do not live in the US, do you resent the fact that it has so much power over the global economy? Most people would agree the economic woes of the world right now can be traced to the current condition in America. Is this a reason to resent it, a necessary evil etc?

I too have given up on government health insurance. Medicare is not worth the 96.00 a month they make me pay per month. I am on SSDI for Bipolar and having Medicare is like having no insurance at all. Clinics refuse me for being on Medicare. I'm also a staunch Libertarian who believes in charities over government welfare. This story is proof that one can live without the "safety ...

I watched a few clips of Bill Clinton speaking at a rally in Florida yesterday, and he was on fire . It was an extremely well delivered and informative speech, and he did what nobody else has done so far and explained the bailout in terms that even Joe Sixpack could understand. Earlier this year, during the primaries, there was sort of a consensus that Clinton was a problem -- a ...

the current global financial downturn has spread angst and a dominoing depression (emotional) across the country. Most feel this will get worse long before it will get better. 1. Yes 2. No I just mailed in my absentee ballot. To my regret, I forgot to make a photocopy, because it's a historic vote. On a lighter note, as they say, vote early, vote often.

While I know most of us here are busy discussing the endless freefall of the markets or the latest McCain/Palin move, I thought this would be a nice change of pace. If you watch as much political news as I do, sooner or later you'll come across someone reporting about how some Republicans want to run Sarah Palin in 2012. Yes, for president. Don't gag, read on. If you're having trouble believing that, just google "palin 2012"; you'll find a number of speculative articles. And of course, that's all that can exist at this time... speculative ...
