Bookmarking Issue with 10.5.8

Hehe. So my assumption would have been wrong. I just opened Firefox and moved half a dozen of my Bookmarks folders to the Bookmarks Toolbar. Most of them had at least 10 Bookmarks in them, and a few had folders within the folder as well. So, that pretty well establishes that you should be able to do it as before, regardless of the number of bookmarks. The first suspect for me is always the plist file of the offending application. do you know...

Sure sounds like it. If you want to give it another shot in another OS just for kicks, head and grab an Ubuntu Live CD. It comes with gparted, a partition editor that will allow you to format the drive any way you'd like. Worth a shot, IMO. Good luck!

Mac 1 should mount as a drive on Mac 2. Once that's done...

I'm assuming you're running 10.5 or 10.6 here, but I think the instructions are the same with earlier OSes.
First, connect the projector. Once it's connected, open the Displays preference pane and click "Detect Displays"--this is to make sure the Mac is seeing the projector.
At this point it's possible it'll just start working. Assuming not, select the "Arrangement" tab in the ...

You don't use a 2.4GHz or 5GHz connection. You use Dial-UP, DSL, LAN or some kind of other internet provision.
2.4GHz refers to the 802.11 b and 802.11 g wireless LAN protocols, using 11 Mbit/s and 54 Mbit/s.
5GHz is used with the 802.11 n standard with a net bit rate 600 Mbit/s.
It depends what kind of router is used to connect to the internet and if you have an 802.11 n-enabled ...

Welcome -- you'll get the hang of it, although the best general advice is that you should not expect a Mac to act like a Windows computer minus the malware and spyware and antivirus programs. It's actually a different operating system, and the philosophy that designed it is different in places.
