Frankly the tone of this discussion has deteriorated to a level that I do not wish to partake in it any longer. And for your information, so there are no misconceptions. I am German, with a US MBA and a German MS in Biology, working in Marketing for a Pharmaceutical Company, not a lawyer. I expect to see AT&T to do the same thing soon. It is all follow the leader. AT&T started with forcing Data plans on the iPhone and people accepted it. Verizon saw this and saw that they could just force data plans on all smart phones. Then the others copied it. AT&T with in 6 months will raise there ETA fee up to $350 to match.

mkrishnan, you're absolutely right, there is NO evidence that people who work in psychiatry, psychology, or social work are particularly immune to them. In fact, several studies suggest that physicians in general may be at higher risk of depression and suicide than the general population. I don't think there have been any studies that have identified psychiatrists as being at particularly increased risk compared to other physicians.
