Rear Window Seperating from Seal

That stuff is indeed amazing. Good job. I use it quite a bit myself. You could clean it up some with a razor blade but the bead probably adds some strength. As much as some might intimate, it is not really a common problem with OEM or the later replacement tops and is often caused by forcing the top down with the bows not collapsed together. This problem was corrected in later NB tops by installing a stronger spring forcing the bows together.

Hopefully this info will show for snug top owners here is the information Eberhard.com it is the 750 series draw latch the snug tops latch system is also welded on so I am pretty sure it is a big pain I don't know if anyone tried replacing it, but buying a whole latch just to replace the hook part would be a bet pricey - from previous searches seems like these latches are quite pricey at around 20 dollar a piece (correct me if i am...

That sounds about right.. Have you seen this ad: http://sfbay.craigslist.org/nby/pts/1491426063.htm l
You may also want to keep an eye out for people selling used NB tops with a frame. Makes the install easier and you can find ones in decent shape at half cost..

I don't know if it would actually be possible to install a Miata soft top without a rain rail. "Rain rail" in the Miata world means a plastic gutter around the base of the top that drains inside the car at the B- pillars, is this what you mean? Without it you'd have a torrent of water coming in at the rear deck.
If by "rain rails" you mean gutters above the windows to keep rain from coming in ...

Snow country they sell well. We recently sold one for $500- it was Merlot in color and needed some cosmetic work as well as work so the buyer could change it to fit his NB.

Don't waste time here asking questions....for $350.... BUY IT NOW!!!!
With your savings you can still get your soft top too!
A decent HT that year is probably about $700 to $900 if the paint is bad. HT are getting harder and harder to find. Don't worry about the head liner and no defrost. I have neither and it's great.
Hurry!!!

I think a boneyard would be the only ones selling a top on the frame, no one does it with a new top that I'm aware of. Shipping would kill the deal because of the bulk. IIWM and I wanted a used setup, I'd call the local junk yards and see what they had or post a wanted to buy on CL for our area.

Welcome to Miata. nuthouse! Yes it will fit, and if the frame is included, it's a direct bolt-in.

I'm also curious to find out. I'm looking at those Ebay tops, pretty good in prices with 100% positive feedbacks.
This one claimed to be "OEM vinyl"... cost a bit more...
Anyone???

There should be three wires from the car harness going to the two wire window connection.
One wire hot
One wire connects to other hot wire feeds hot to dash board to turn on dash light
One wire ground
At work now, I have the wire color info at home and will post later if you need it.
Also...check fuse, may have popped it!
