Make sure the air isn't set on recirculate. If this doesn't help enough, run the AC until the air dries out. Peter

Winter tire sizes

I have 195/50/15 on the tire rack steelies, the problem if you have the sport brakes is that very specific 15" steel wheels will clear the brakes, most 15" alloy wheels will clear the brakes. Wheels are usually the more expensive part of the equation, but once you figure that out, you can find a right tire size. going with a 15" wheel is probably the most economical choice, and with 195/50/15 or so, your pretty much...

I replaced the PCV valve and the grommet. Advance Auto Parts has the grommet for this car, part number: 039-6428. It doesn't seem to fit initially, but I popped it in there with the valve. Lucky for me, the old valve came out easily. Will report back... I have a feeling it won't be with good news.

Griots Garage has a glass "polish" but I don't think it will handle serious scratches. http://www.griotsgarage.com/product/...C+16+ounces.do Probably best though to get it replaced. Mine is pitted from 10 years of driving year round, and I'll probably be replacing mine soon as well. Jeff

I find, it takes about a 5% increase before my butt dyno feels it. Must not be the 5% with an intake tube, sure wasn't with mine either. Strange but true, at least in my case, the cold air of winter make one hell of a difference. Bob

When my motor was built, they didn't properly tighten the clamp that holds the cap/seal back in, and it started to leak shortly there after. I bought a new cap, but in the process of removing the old cap, I found the clamp loose, and just retightend it, the leak stopped and hasn't returned. Bob

You will get answers to that question that cover virtually all model years that fall into the NB range. Since I bought a 99, I am partial, although the other NB years do have various advantages and drawbacks. I don't believe there is a "wrong" year. Search a bit and find many threads that describe the various things to check before buying a used NB, and you would be wise to heed their advice....

It is the "sport suspension" as you have the LS, which has the larger wheels and bigger brakes. FYI, your tire size should be 205/45 16.

I had one on my 99 when I bought it, but took it off as we don't have front plates here. I still have it. Can send it to you cheap.

Around 32 miles per gallon when driving at a steady 75 mph. And somewhere around 28 mpg driving in stop-and-go commute traffic, with the occasional run up to 80 mph and then back down to 20 mph.
Oh, and I tend to be pretty heavy on the gas pedal when accelerating.

Ouch, also watch out for the CAT. 99-00 are very prone to having failed CATS on them. I had a 99 and at 35k my CAT fried on me=( $400 later it was all fixed though=)

Had one on a Mustang I had before the Miata. It was a quality item, with a water trap (very important). Like most intake solutions external to the manifold itself it wasn't worth the effort, but have fun!

I've had good luck with the General Altimax Arctic on other vehicles in the winter. Good tire based upon the vaunted Gislaved NordFrost 3. Lots of small sizes available.

I have a '99 with notchy shifting sometimes. I put the Motorcraft Full Synthetic trans fluid and it eventually improved. Also had some issues with clutch slave and master and replaced both. I have to think that part of it has to do with how the previous owner shifted (wear and tear) and the transmission design. Have had other cars with same issue. I have an '89 Nissan pickup with 5-speed that ...

I think he recommends 1/2 inch. "A small funnel and about 5' of 1/2 diameter clear tubing." Good luck, I'm planning on doing mine soon, just got my NB 2 weeks ago, and can't seem to quit driving it long enough with this good weather.
