The premium added for an increased value is negligible so I'd put it at $12,000. They won't ask for an appraisal at that level and the collector value has been going up. Besides, that whole stated value thing is a little misleading, it basically has to be an at fault accident or collision loss, otherwise the other drivers insurance is in play and they don't care what your stated value is. It also allows Sneed (or any other...

kj7lo, The NA6 (1990-1993) has the cooler decal "Mazda" on the driver's side. If I were to put a badge on it I'd put the Eunos "V" badge on it.

Is it on constant? Or flashing? If flashing, how many times? Search air bag blinks and you should find threads to help you.

I' m 6'3" and 205 and, apart from my knee bumping the wheel from time to time it's fine for me. Also I taught my best friend to drive a manual in it the other day and he's 6'4" and said it was fine also. It's my daily driver as well and I am quite comfortable

very very niice! I just got a 91 miata and thats the end product Im shooting for. mine needs a passener front fender and a front bumper and it'll be pretty sweet. I also want to put some aluminum wheels on it but i dont want to spend a fortune on them, and those dual headlights would be pretty awesome. but I'll just take it one step at a time

It's possible that your thermostat is stuck in the closed position, or that your water pump went south. Either will cause water to boil (happened recently to my wife's New Beetle). Are you sure that the squealing you hear when you start the car is caused by the belt(s)? It's possible that the water pump is making that sound.
If your hoses are all intact, you can test the water pump by ...

Sounds like a fuel pump issue to me. I'd try here - http://www.miata.net/garage/fuelpumpdiag.html to see if that will identify the problem. I suspect you'll find the answer in these diagnostics....

They were correct (although I thought the toilet bowl badge was added to the front bumper in 1994 it could have been in 1993). It should NOT be on your 1990. If I saw a 1990 with the emblem it would make me wonder if the front bumper was replaced due to an accident in the past?

Sorry if I can't be clear on this but here it goes anyway: The alternator needs to first be loosened (not removed) to allow it to move. If I remember correctly a 14mm wrench should do the trick. There is a bolt at the front of the tensioner going into a block. Loosen it with a 12mm. There should be another bolt to the side of that block. That bolt will either tighten or loosen the belt. When you ...

You know, honestly, I consider myself as straight as they uh.. come. And I am a car nut big time ( yeah I know the innuendoes are killing me too.) and I NEVER once have EVER thought of the Miata as a gay car.. Never. It never crossed my mind. I seriously do not understand where this crap comes from. Are people really this pathetic and bored with their lives that they make this stuff up? ...

Take the cylinder head to a local machine shop and have it rebuilt. Check the Spec Miata boards for a good recommendation. Stay away from Clearwater Cylinder heads. Also take a straightedge and make sure your block is not warped as well.

Oh, one more question. About 1/4 of the time when I push the clutch in and turn the key, I get ... (crickets chirping) ... nothing. I let the clutch out, turn the key again, zoom zoom. I didn't find this out until I was about 100 miles away from where I picked it up. I called the seller, and he said "I just let the clutch out and turn it again, it eventually starts."
What up with that?

Just a quick follow-up. I was just brushing up on alignment theory. Could it be that the power assist is not my problem at all? Could it be that I just need more positive caster? (I forgot what mine's currently set at, but it was done very carefully, w/ me sitting in the car.)
