Renegade, by Styx. Actually, I'm probably not badass enough for that. Maybe just "Joker" by good old Steve Miller. Yeah that probably fits better. I'm not a midnight toker, but I play like I'm high. Like the first time someone tapped 14 mana and hardcast two Cruel Ultimatums on me. Him "Pass priority to you." Me "...woah. Like... woah, man. Duuude."

Regerate is terrible because: a) it does nothing to further your win b) regen is generally a lackluster effect even as a way to save creatures. Doesn't save from exile, many destruction spells have 'no regen' effects tacked on, etc c) it's an aura, so is basically card disadvantage d) IT'S AN AURA, so is basically card disadvantage That last is so important that it needs saying twice. In general, if doing something...

Yeh, this is a major no-no. I would tell your store first and see if they'll do anything about it, and if not then contact the DCI directly. Hope it works out for you.

(For the record, I'm not trying to flame Mark Rosewater in any way. I'm just curious about the subject matter.) I've noticed that the general opinion on Mark Rosewater is very divided. I know that some people love him for his work in Ravnica and Time Spiral blocks, but I've also seen quite a bit of criticism, mostly to do with MaRo "selling out" the franchise. Can we as Magic players ...

Well, I'll assume we're talking about the artist signing them... I think they're really cool. A lot of times when the artist signs a card, they also modify it a bit, which is also really cool. While I don't usually see a lot of places raise the price based on being signed, I think it's a lot cooler. -Jack

usually when buying product to sell in a retail store, you won't be buying from other retail stores, but rather from an authorized WotC distributor. These Distributors will sell stuff at a discounted price (discounted from the MSRP anyways) and allow you to make a profit that way. However in order to get registered with these distributors, I have heard that you need to be an established store ...

Way too early to condemn the Cobra. ZenStand is only 5 weeks old. When it rotates out of standard is when it can be fully evaluated on it's playability. It still has a lot of potential and 3(?) Zen expansions before 2011 comes out. It's a matter of wait and seee, not condemnation because you can't think of anything good to combo it with.

I'm... speechless. Have you even played magic? Lands are what make the game work. You can't remove a fundamental part of the game. It's just fine how it is. Just work on your mana base.

Hey guys, some advice if you will: At our local store, we've been running small tournaments (10-20 player drafts, type 2) smoothly and everyone has a good time. There are a handful of players with ratings 1800+. Recently, 2-3 players with pro-points have shown up to play sanctioned events and instead of using their real DCI numbers, they've told our tournament organizer that they "don't...

Charging an entry fee legal? Hi, there is a game store by me that charges 6 dollars to play in their dci sanctioned tournaments. If not, is there anything I can do to stop them from doing ...
