Despite the fact that it's not a Scorpion , I take it that you didn't know Scorpion was a creature type. A very interesting card, and a nice of of morph. 9/10 Talja, The Fortress-Guard Legendary Land Whenever a Human creature comes into play under your own control, if ~ is untapped, you may tap ~. If you do, put two +1/+1 counters on it. : Add to your mana pool. Nath'd. xD An interesting card, full of flavor. Love it! 9/10 Ok.....

I was poking fun. A certain somebody in The Great Designer Search submitted this same mechanic. It was completely shot down for the reason that (paraphrase) "Magic already has this mechanic—having one toughness."

I give it a 5. It's okay, but it essentially reads: ~ NEVER dies.
Concept has been done before, and Phoenix' are traditionally red and recurring without the need for any black mana.
