My thoughts exactly.. I've already diagnosed it; I believe it to be a dodgy version of Cubase to blame - installed Abelton and works fine on there. Guess I'll just use Abelton for what I want to do. Thanks guys anyway! _________________ Cyan - www.myspace.com/cyanband < Prog? Rock? Prog Rock? Listen. NEW TRACKS UPLOADED! [Oct 2009]

sennheiser hd280s from ebay should fit the budget, beyerdynamic dt770's or dt990's are pretty popular if you want to up your budget _________________ Trav C Live Mixing Live Recordings Studio Recording Studio Mixing www.myspace.com/travcaudio

I think it's rather awkward fault finding sight unseen, you might have to organize an I.T. pro to work through your problem. _________________ I have alot of problems with you people.

ATH-M50s without a doubt. Check the US sellers on eBay. You can get a pair for less than a hundred bucks. It's ridiculous, and they smoke most low/mid-range studio cans on the market. _________________

Those were the coaxial connectors that were used on cheap low-end (amateur) mics in the 60s and 70s. They were pretty common at the time, but I never saw them on any mic that seemed worth owning at the time (though I owned a few... ). Not to say that what you've found won't do some nice/funky...

What the hell!?? I've just got an Akai MPD32 and I'm trying to get it up as a remote in Cubase SX but it just won't do anything. It triggers notes fine when I route it through VSTIs, but I'm trying to assign faders and knobs to parameters but it just won't do anything. I looked at this thing to get me started: http://www.espace-cubase.org/anglais/page.php?page =appcubmr13 ...

Hi Guys. Was wondering what your thoughts were on mixing the the studio , and how it might translate to live mixing. I've been mixing bands on and off for a while now, and I am by no means an expert, But i'm doing my best to get better. And feel i can pull a decent sound. However I'de like to take my live sound mixing up a notch. But struggle to find enough "practice" ...
