Hi, I'd like to start a folkish band along the lines of clare bowditch/ holly throsby/ the middle east with all kindsa different instruments. Jazz musicians of all flavours are invited to a jam session at the Royal Standard Hotel, 333 William Street West Melbourne (it's up near Vic Market).It starts at 4.00pm on Sunday 29th November and goes til some time after 7.00pm. Its free, there is plenty of playing time, and it is so relaxed it is almost horizontal. There is a house band, led by the talented Sam, to provide backing for them as needs it, or to lean on the bar and gossip...
