Last year when Pinky and her siblings were dumped on my door we had bottlefed them for a few weeks but when they were old enough to start on solids (I think it was the animal shelter who told me to do this) we fed them human baby food for a few weeks along with kitten food softened with the kitten milk. When we go to the vets tonight I'll ask. They only sell Science Diet products in there so they should have the milk too. Pinky is a lot...

Thank you, spudsmom. I'm calling the vet in the morning. I just hope they can work us in. Gibson looks fine, so he hasn't caught it. I'll ask the vet about giving him antibiotics too, JIC, but I doubt he'll do it. Gus hates going, but Gibson is downright pathetic. _________________

Kitty snuggies? That's great if it works but my cat...very large. Looks like I will have to try one of each. I saw a woman carrying a cat in a furry type carrier and you couldn't even see the animals head except for up top. I finally realized it was a cat when she stood up with it. I kind of wonder if she made it. I didn't have time to ask. Casey won't go in butt ways either. He sticks all of his arms, legs, paws whatever...

Gypsy is like that. So, bought a NEW (aka: doesn't smell like any other cat OR vet!) cage, and let it sit, open, in the kitchen for a few days. She finally got curious about it, and I let her get in/out of it at her leisure for a few days, etc. It seemed to help a little bit. _________________ ~*~We were meant to live for so much more~*~ .........................*For thee, I wait*.........................

Most of my cats are dumb enough to go in with the lure of a treat. Last time we had to put them in the carrier, one cat didn't want to go. The only way to get them in was the put the crate on end with the door end up. We ended up sort of dropping her in backwards. _________________ You can fool some of the people some of the time, and that is sufficient.

Gus' left eye started watering yesterday, just water, not goop. I thought it stopped this morning, but it didn't. It also didn't seem to bother him last night, but it was today.
I called the vet, and they suggested tears eye drops.
I went to the store for them, and got a drop in ( I know, I'm shocked too ), and he ran off. He came right back for lovings and I haven't noticed ...

I sure hope it isn't. I have had problems with kittens eyes in the past, with no cat flu involved. I've used Teramycin with excellent results, it's available over the counter at pet stores and vets. But if Mommy is sneezing, you are right about getting them to the vet. Better to be safe than sorry.
Hope they are feeling better soon.
Keep us updated, please.

I am moving again to an apartment situation...does anyone have any suggestions on how to get cats to keep their collars on? Casey will chew through his and Jinx gets it caught on her jaw. I'm not really comfortable being on the ground level without them having identification.

Think Binnie's close to her time now. One eye (where thge tumour is pressing) is completely fucked. The third lid has split, the whole eye is yellow and dead looking and the inner eyelids are completely swollen and red and gunge oozes out. The lump is pretty big now of course and at some point it must start to impact on her breathing.
She hasn't been able to eat well for some time - ...

Swelling, knots, limping, increasing soreness from a possible hairline fracture...
Honestly, I'd say go ahead and make her a Vet appointment. They may want to X-ray her just to check her out.
Poor Tilly! That really is quite a fall for her. _________________

There are a few cat sedatives on the market, but you'd defo have to go to the vet to pick up an Rx for it pre-visit...some vets DO understand kitty hysteria about going to the vets and will help you out with that.
Barring that, consider tossing some catnip into her carrier...maybe that'd entice her into the cage and make the trip easier (we hope!).
I'd also consider making her a "...
