2005 ML350 Load Limit
Published (2009-11-06 11:56:00)
My 2005 ML350 Owner’s Manual says the Tire and Loading Information is located on a Load Limit Placard on the door post, but mine doesn’t have one. I’m a potter and want to pick up a load of clay. Anyone know what the load limit is on my ML350? To remove this ad, register today or login if you already are registered!

HID Question.
Published (2009-11-13 05:47:00)
Chaoul1, I read in other MB forums that they don't recommend using HID in stock headlights. The HID bulb is longer than the regular headlight bulb and the housing in the headlight itself is not long enough for it. They said to change the whole headlight housing if you want HID. I seen online the aftermarket HID housing with lights for less than $400. If you want I can find the website again and post it here for you. I want HID too,...

My advice? Don't. Honestly they are great trucks but have countless quirks and gremlins. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have bought it.

I would recommend a light output of closer to the OEM output of 4200K. You should be safe to install a HID Kit. PM me and I can help you out some more.

It looks nice if you like rims that big. Like you said you need to change the tires. I really hate my OEM rims too, but I'm going to wait until I need tires. I personally won't go higher that 19" on my ML. I like to have some meat in the tires to protect the rim for when the wife run over s..t on the road. And as you know, the bigger the rim, the more stress you put on the suspension. Check out ...

Apart from sheer boredom and just wanting to kill time buy doing the swap it would be much cheeper to buy a ML430, since they are a dime a dozen and cheap to buy.
