is a misnomer. It really means something is up with the charging system. Charge the battery fully with a 10amp charger overnight and then if nearby you can drive to any auto store that tests alternators.Low voltage will put you into limp mode. Keep us posted. Key out of ignition while charging and use the underhood charging post and a good ground.

Fluid level is fine. Going to do a fluid and filter change. Anyone have any tips or tricks? Seems pretty easy as long as the torque converter has drain plug.

Damn, really? What can I do for exhaust mods? I want a nice noise and to get rid of this rattling. My state doesn't have inspections on vehicles, so how would they know?

Lally Chevy in Bedford, Ohio. Laughed it off, test drove the car and told them I would order with someone else. Gonna get the new Equinox. Living back and forth between West Virginia and Florida the car was perfect, but now being in northern Ohio and having and hour and a half daily commute there are better cars for snowy highways.

12v Ignitor question

Hi, i was curious if the ring around cigarette lighter housing lights up. Ever since i have owned the car there has been no light. Just curious if there is a bulb that could be replaced there. For a while now i have been using the 12v cigarette lighter to power my gps. Recently it seems like inside the housing there is a lot of vibration when i drive and i can hear the noise when im going over certain roads.Something sounds loose. Like a...

If you have access to a lift you might try tapping around with a rubber mallet looking for the source of the rattle. I just had a cat replaced and it had a very distintive rattle that I've never heard before. Something like marbles in a can but not as loud. Not at all like a rattle caused by a loose bracket.

But same issues apply.
Under 80k miles? Get the cats replaced free.
Over 80k splice in magnaflow universals.if not located in ca.
Have you replaced the cps crankshaft position sensor. If it failed you get no start, plenty of crank but no start

charge the battery fully for 8 hours with a 10 amp charger.Test alternator output. The electronics that excite the alternator to produce voltage ar in the alternator. You can drive if close by to an ohreilys or whatever auto store and they will test the alternator.Either it ts shot or the vr.Then proceed from there.
www.autohausaz.com carries both.Make sure you get the right brand.

Thanks to Ohlord, I now am qualified to answer this concern, because it just happened to me. The P0140 code is a EGR Flow Malfunction, will also send the O2 code as well. You most likely do not need a new O2 sensor or and EGR valve (as I found out the hard way, damm!). Your EGR Flow tube is clogged with carbon. Once you clear it, the code will go away. Too bad you installed the O2 sensor, as I ...

They simply aren't original Mercedes parts. Ask question of whoever made these wheels.
Mercedes center caps are the same for all models and versions of OE Mercedes wheels.

sensors two completely different functions.
I would go into both but will cut to the chase. CPS crankshaft often shows no code till complete failure and yours is heading towards stranding you
