I think I'll just buy like 50ft^2 of Matmat....that should cover the underside of the rear deck so the vibrations are reduced. Maybe I'll double layer it too. Anybody know where I can find industrial grade aluminum foil? -- I like that cutout for the sub. Very sweet. I might grab one at the junkyard and try to copy that design so I still got my original if I screw it up

My experience with Europe's Auto in Langley. I went there to change a flex disc on my W124. I noticed there were a lot of old MBs sitting in the parking lot that appeared to be sitting there for a long time. First warning sign. He wasn't busy at all, and was able to work on my car the next day so I brought it in. A place that is not busy at all in an area that doesn't really have any other MB repair shops to compete with. I hesitate to use any generic fluid. If it turns out to be incompatible with the seals, you could be looking at an expensive repair. Stick with the fluid from the dealer. Instead of making a special drive, it may be cheaper for you to order it online.

Head over here. http://www.500ecstasy.com/forums/showthread.php?t= 5814 Best bet is to stick with the larger brakes off a 99+ SL. They bolt straight on to our 124's with no mods needed except maybe a backing plate trim. I just took mine off when I did the conversion. I may have a set of the frt Brembo calipers to sell if you are interested.

Check the fuse on the OVP that sits behind the battery. It is a very common problem. Also pull off the idle control valve and shoot some carb cleaner into it. I'm not sure about the hard stop...but the OVP is the cause of the majority of stalling problems.

White smoke or semi white can be produced in several ways. One way is oil this is normally a whitish blue to blue smoke and has the apparent smell of oil being burned. Next could be antifreeze when it is being burned it has a sweet type of smell and tends to dissipate in the air rather quickly. Next is automatic transmission fluid and its normally drawn into an engine thru a vacuum line via a ...

This is the tool I used to do the valve stem seals w/o removing the head. You'll need two people to do this though. A kid will work...just someone to remove the valve shims + seals while you hold the spring out the way. Of course, first check if it really is the valve stem seals. Your plugs should look like this: (bare in mind mine were leaking like no other...but the color + deposits ...
