PF makes a nice floating rotor; run them on my Pcar. I'm assuming they would have one for the M's. I second (3rd,4th) the notion of just doing fronts. Rear brakes are overrated.

It's not physically possible on the M3. Moving the diff is very easy.
(It can be done on a regular E46, barely.)

all that tape probably threw off the weight-balance making the car difficult to handle, thus tossing it into a barrier ;-)

If I can make these since I can not buy them from ground control separate. I want to fabricate my own. I used a set from a friend and made cut outs. ALl I will have to do is cut them off and paint them.
I was going to make a bunch, woul danyone be interested? I am just looking into breaking even with the cost of tools.

I'm wondering if it's pushing it and if 255s are better of if they do in fact fit fine and provide better grip.
TIA.
265's are fine. You can run as wide as 275. I have 275/35-18 tires for the rear on my 550 which is 18x9 ...

So I've always been told not to use the brakes or handbrakes to much once i'm pulling off the track. Just leave it in gear and walk away. I've always done as instructed, but for the e46, are there any benefits? I thoguht our handbrake was on a seperate drum from the rotor?

I was in a similar situation 6 weeks ago and settled on the OEM rotors for the third time. I also rebuilt both front and rear calipers because I baked all four calipers boots - for the second time. Between the calipers overheating and cross-drill devouring expensive PFC-01 pads I've finally concluded after the last 4 track days to end the insanity. I was a big fan of the ZCP/CSL/Z4M setup ...

the big question is: What do you plan on doing with the car? Race in Spec Boxster? NASA GTS? Race with PCA? Time trials? HPDE? Daily Driver (lol)?
